Danni Lewis has been playing it safe for twenty-six years, but her sheltered existence is making her feel old ahead of time. When a sudden death plunges her into a spiral of grief, she throws caution to the wind and runs away to France in search of a new beginning.
The moment ski instructor Olivier du Pape enters her shattered world she falls hard, in more ways than one.
Their mutual desire is as powerful and seductive as the mountains around them. His dark gypsy looks and piercing blue eyes are irresistible.
Only she must resist, because he has a wife – and she’d made a pact to never get involved with a married man.
But how do you choose between keeping your word and being true to your soul?
Weak at the Knees is Jo’s debut novel in the new adult, contemporary romance genre – a story about love, loss and relationships, set between London and the heart of the French Alps.
Due to descriptive sex scenes, this book is not appropriate for younger readers.

About the author

Jo lives in London with her husband, three children, Jerald the cat and three chickens. In addition to being a novelist she works as a TV and print journalist (Sunday Times, The Telegraph, the Daily Mail and the Mail on Sunday). If she could change one thing about her life it would be to introduce the thirty hour day, because twenty-four hours just isn’t long enough to squeeze it all in! She's also a YouTuber - her YouTube channel is called Go with Jo and features travel videos from across the globe. Many a late night is spent at her desk nursing a glass of red wine (preferably French) as she writes stories and articles and edits her videos. She's a massive fan of yoga, skiing, travelling and English custard - though not necessarily in that order.
Jo's first travelogue - ANTARCTICA: AN EXPEDITION CRUISE TRAVEL GUIDE - became an instant bestseller and with that success Jo decided to publish another real life memoir called BORN BLUE. It's the story of how her baby was starved at oxygen at birth and a medical trial saved her life. It's a harrowing, but ultimately uplifting and life-affirming read.
Jo has also published four contemporary romances: Lover in Law, Now is our Time, Weak at the Knees and A Call to Heaven.
She loves communicating with readers and can be found on:

I really would have given this 5 stars but the ending was just a little to vague and inconclusive for me. However, please read this you will not be disappointed
The story is a Brit chic-lit, set in London to start with.
A story about 26 yo Danni, who lives with her b/f of 11 years - Hugo - a Barrister. Danni suspects that she is settling as Hugo is far more who her family want to settle with, then her herself.
Also in the story is Danni's BFF - Amber - described by Danni as similar to the character in Beaches - they have no secrets.
Tragedy strikes Danni's life - and taking stock she realises that she is settling and that there is more to her life than the one she is living.
Throwing caution to the wind, she sets off to teach at a ski resort - with young children.
Her life takes a turn. On route to France, she hooks up with Rod, then meets, Michel and his hot (and very married) brother Olivier. Danni realises that she really was settling with her life in London and never regrets the decision she makes to leave.
Danni's grandmother had always told her that she would kiss a man who would make her go weak at the knees.
Amber had sworn her off having a relationship with a married man.
But there is something about Olivier that Danni just cannot ignore.......
It is a great story. Very sad, was actually crying in parts - that's why it had to get 5 stars for me, because any book that can reduce me to tears deserves that.
I really took to Danni. There is a very slight "Bridget Jones-esque" feel to the book - maybe that's UK author's?! And normally I would hate that style, but this was very poignant and heartfelt writing so I will ignore the very very slight similarities, which were not too often.
It was refreshing and brave, to make the lead be a married man. You never get to know Olivier's wife, so it is easy to still route for Danni and Olivier, even if morally it felt a bit wrong, but there was something familiar to me personally, when Olivier declared his love for Danni, and needed to know that she was in it for the long haul.
Loved the ending, again very original and unique, and left me in no doubt!
