Blaze had a really tough upbringing, coming from a family of addicts. He has had to work his socks off to better himself. Playing football is his life now and he's the star quarterback for his team...

While celebrating a team win, he meets a mystery girl. They dance, share a kiss, then she's gone. He can't stop thinking about her, it was love at first sight. He knows he has to find her and make her his..

Fallyn doesn't date football players but can't help but be drawn to Blaze. She fights her feelings but can't resist him for long. He's not like all the other boys and she soon falls for him big time..

Tragedy strikes and sends Blaze on a downward spiral. Taking him on path he swore he'd never take..

Can he fight his addiction? Will Fallyn ever trust him again?

Wow! I had so many emotions while reading this book. It was like one big rollercoaster ride. Drug addiction is such a hard topic to write about, but Marie James totally nailed it with this story. It was beautifully written. Can't wait to read more of her books

This is the first book I have read by Marie James and I absolutely loved it. It was written extremely well and the story flowed beautifully.

Blaze grew up in a house of addicts, his Mum and Dad both high most of the time, he swore he would never end up like them; so he worked hard and earned a football scholarship and eventually he became the star quarterback for his team. Life was good, lots of woman hanging off his every word, parties, booze - life couldn't get much better - or so he thought.
When at a party one night celebrating a big win for the team he see's Fallyn and for him it's an OMG moment, he wants her and although they share a dance and a kiss - she walks away at the end of the night. Blaze can't stop thinking about her and he makes it his mission to find her and wear her down.
Fallyn is not all that impressed by football players and all they stand for, she is studying hard and doesn't want any distraction of the Blaze sort even though that one kiss they shared gave her butterflies in her stomach, she puts him to the back of her mind. But Blaze is relentless, and that leads to the one night where everything changes in both their lives. A split second decision made; an endless stream of tears and anger.

This story is about their relationship - but it is so much more and you will have to read this book to experience the highs and the lows and all the emotions that come with a new relationship.

This book was difficult to read because it was gut wrenching, sad, but full of hope as well. I loved both lead characters they were so well written, and at times so bloody frustrating to read, especially Blaze.

I loved this book and it was my first by Marie James, I read someone's post on Facebook about this book and I knew I had to read it and well it didn't disappoint.

I know some might not find this an easy read, but in way it's not meant to be, because let's face it drug addict doesn't just affect the addict, but also their loved ones pretty much can be said for any addiction.

The author showed every emotion, feelings from both Fallyn and Blaze's perspective. They fall in love and the pair could not be more different, but they give in and they work together until tragic events turn their worlds upside down.

When Blaze starts to choose pills to cope instead of going to Fallyn, you know nothing good can and well since he's been surround by addiction growing up, it almost seems likely to be his fall back, until he loses Fallyn - the one.

This is gut wrenching, heartbreaking read from both sides as they fight with everything that addiction brings.

I loved reading every moment, feeling and emotional of the turmoil of what both Fallyn and Blaze went through and its book I won't forget. This book will touch your soul with love of what could be after We Said Forever.

I wish I knew what and how to describe the depth of emotion that this story brought to the table. There are a plethora of descriptions that can be applied to this scenario and for much of the story none of them were good, this was about as brutally honest a depiction of the trauma and desolation that addiction can inflict not only on the addict but those that are associated with them as I have ever and I do mean ever read.
It was powerful, it was emotive and it was raw. Yes, it was everything you could possibly imagine, it was so gut wrenchingly raw that at times, it stripped the air from my lungs but what it didn’t do was hold back, what it didn’t shy away from was the fact that it was 100% honest.
It didn’t sugar coat the despair, the solitude, the self-loathing and the loneliness of all of those involved, it laid clear the fact that in his own haphazard and chaotic manner, Blaze’s decent, his spiral out of control all stemmed from one minute and malicious event. But his battle with self -destruction, and his almost apathy towards what was happening to him was too much to take at times, this was a guy that had the world at his feet only to see it slip away from him and to compound the issue he allowed his very essence to evaporate, he lost everything but most of all, he lost himself… It was soul destroying.
