My headphone Amp only has one input and I wanted to feed it with two sources so I bought this switch. The very first thing I did when I got it was to open it up to have a look inside. First thing I noticed was the presence of a printed circuit board, I was really expecting a spaghetti of wires so in that sense it is quite neat to use a circuit board. Upon close inspection the 4 way switch control and all the mounted RCA/S-Video sockets turned out to be of really cheap quality but can't complain much at this price. Anyway, I then connected my Nakamichi cassette deck and my Marantz CD player to the switch and then to my headphone Amp and it worked. The only thing I noticed while switching back and forth between the two connected devices and even the two vacant input positions on the switch that some sound from the two devices was leaking through to the two vacant input sources although there was no leakage between the two connected sources. All in all I'd say its a fine product for the price but the quality of the components used could have been a little better, I would not have mind paying a little bit extra for the quality.

I bought this product so I could plug two audio sources into a single input; a PC and PS3. It does its job very well. As other reviewers have mentioned, it's a bit flimsy and feels cheap, but what do you expect for £4.25, including delivery? If you're expecting an aesthetically well designed and expertly engineered piece of a/v equipment, this is not it. If you want a basic, functional little device for switching sources, this does the job.
One thing to mention, I didn't get any audio cables with mine as other reviewers did. I suppose it depends which seller you purchase it from. I also didn't test the video as I had no need for it.

I bought this selector as I like to hook up various devices to my midi system. (My Samsung tv, my pc and dvd player.) The overall quality and construction were not as good as I had hoped, but there is no denying it does what I need it to and does it well. Previously I had an expensive rca extension lead going into the back of my sound system so I could just plug my computer and my tv in fairly easily into the extension. However, with more devices comes more wires so I bought one of these ao I could plug everything in at the same time and just move a the switch on top to pick which device I wanted to use.
Despite my reservations on the very plastic case. the results speak for themselves. There is no degradation to the sound quality that I can detect regardless of whether I am using the tv or computer. How long it will last I cannot say, hopefully quite a while.

I bought this to use as a switching unit for 4 mini cctv cameras in my bird room. One camera for the cages and three for nest box obseravation. All the reviews seemed to be good in regards to audio so at the price it was worth a punt to see if the video was going to work well or not. It works brilliantly! CCTV Switcher unit prices all seem far too expensive. This unit is great, the audio and video quality is uneffected by the switching which has a positive click on the slide control. Well chuffed with it.
My only very minor complaint is that the orange/red plastic should come with a government health warning!! Would look more at home on a child's water pistol! :-)
Apart from that it's perfect for the job and does it well. Don't be put off by the cheap price.

I'd recommend this switcher on the basis of price and convenience.
It does seem however to mix the audio on inputs 1-2 and 3-4 - clearly a flaw in design. This isn't really an issue however as users will only be listening to one sound source at a time, and the other device will be switched off. The addition of an S-Video input is also useful for input four, though unused in my case.
I was using it with freeview HD, DVD recorder, Playstation and ipod on the first input of my surround sound subwoofer, with VCR and cable on second and third inputs.
Cheers
Mark

The only problem with this product is the appearance - it looks cheap and nasty and flimsy. However, it is surprisingly effective and if you can hide it behind something no-one will ever know! I was expecting some "sound bleed" at this price - but there was none at all. Great value and avoids the need to switch wires about every time you want a different input source to your amplifier (or whatever).

Works exactly as it should, though I have yet to properly put it through its paces for seeing how it works with an RCA pass-through cable (which I plan to use for recording Let's Plays).
I have no complaints about it overall, although it does feel a little on the cheap side, although that's because it is!

I got this so I could use it with the tv and the cd player. It worked fine at first but then I found it was only playing one channel on my headphones. I could not get it to play correctly so reconnected the original wires from the wi fi headphones to the tv and all works great again. A disappointing product, well this one was anyway.
