Would I recommend it? Well yes I would since, when I purchased it, I was looking for - what an uplifting of spirits.
Our son has a cancer and we have lived through some fourteen months of hell trying to come to terms with his illness. Fortunately this very day we got some uplifting word that his treatment has finally brought about a degree of positive action. He is still a long way from over with his health to recover but I read this book and it reminded me of others that my grandfather would have me read.
Books like 'The Magic of Thinking Big' etc.
I have since gone on to read Eckhart Tolle, Practicing the Power of Now, which was sooo easy to read but has really changed my life. Yes, I know that sounds a bit cheesy, but the simplicity of this book and the ease with which I was able to put his writing into practice has made me happier - I can actually switch off the constant critical voice in my head and it is liberating..
This book is even better the second time around, the narrative and hidden meanings to explore and get yourself, as well as the essence of the book, make this a great read for the personal development fan as well anyone on a spiritual path also. It almost a requirement to read every few months.
However, everybody has their own path. It just so happened that this student was ready for the master to appear.
If you are at the foot of your own mountain, this may well be the way you are looking for.
It is not, thank goodness, anything like Paulo Coelho.
