RCA began 2005 with a big bang for British Presley fans - weekly releases of 3-track 10" Vinyl and 5" CD singles covering all eighteen of The King's UK Numbers ones. I can remember buying them one a week at £3.99 each (supposedly limited editions). The presentation and audio was top notch and by 25 April 2005 (Number 18) - the complete box set could be proudly displayed on my shelf at home. Here are the details for each UK CD single reissue and the 'complete' box set...

Way Down is a fantastic rock tune and goes great to a leaving single. The song even makes me go cold every time i listen to it and we must get it to number one again where it belongs, the b-side Pledging My Love is also an amazing ballad that is also very well sung, overall two amazing tracks on one single and the last living Elvis single. Unfortunatley the song didn't hit the top of the Billboard chart only placing at #18 but topped the country chart for many weeks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Elvis's "Way Down" showed that the King still "had it." 23 Jan. 2007
By Keith T. Brittain - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD Verified Purchase
This hit single was current when Elvis died on August 17, 1977 and proved, if any one needed proof, the the King still possessed the same low country swamp boogie R&B that proved to Sam Phillips that this "mama's boy" talent was almost beyond this world. This nice CD single reissue features the original b-side, "Pledging My Love" and an alternate version of the title track. A very nice collectible and more than nice to listen to.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excelllent Cd of my favorite singer-have loved him since I was a teenaer 13 Feb. 2008
By Diana Jones - Published on Amazon.com

Elvis has been my favorite all-arond singer since I was a teen!
This song is especially my favorite but you never heard any stations play it whenever they played their repertoire of Elvis songs.
I love the words and the beat---you should listen to it!
