Probably my favourite of their albums. More punk, more raw, more energetic. It's monumental.

Loved 'Singles' so looked forward to hearing more music from Future Islands, unfortunately Wave Like Home has been a huge disappointment, maybe my expectations were too high based on the handful of reviews here.Forget the first track, just sounds like noise...sorry. Samuel Herrings vocal style on this album is quite different to that on Singles, far less melodic I guess they've evolved since the release of this cd. If you love Future Islands go ahead and give this album a try but be prepared for a less refined style compared with their latest music. Giving the album three stars as I consider it to be OK but no classic and not one I'll be listening to a great deal in the future. Would recommend 'Singles' to anyone and looking forward to future releases

Fast paced and gritty, a completely different sound from Singles, but just as quirky and emotive. Electronic pop meets dirty blues with a tempo turned up at some points to somewhat angry levels. Great album, only wish it were longer. Bam bam bam, and it's done. Yep, the opening track is an odd instrumental cacophony (albeit an enjoyable one), but you need leading into the strangeness of "Old Friend" somehow, and "Pangea" is as good a warm up as anything. "Seize a Shark" is fav at the mo.

As great as 'In Evening Air' is, I think that their debut has the edge. I must have listened to this album 100 times and I still love it.

Early music from Future Island, a bit heavy for my taste
