- Family Choice Awards Baby & Parenting Category 2017 Winner.
- Babylist Best Award 2016 Winner.
Not only for babies' sensitive bums
WaterWipes were developed for newborn baby’s skin which is much more delicate and sensitive than an adult; because of this, WaterWipes are also suitable for:
★ Baby's hands and face.
★ Adults' allergy prone and sensitive skin types.
★ Elderly skin care.
★ Pet Wipes.
★ General body skin care wipes (for camping, hiking, picnic, sports etc).
WaterWipes are stronger, thicker natural baby wipes - made using 50 gsm material
New easy-to-store packaging
We made a change to our packaging in early 2016, everyone loved WaterWipes but felt that our packaging was a bit bulky and at times too large for some nappy bags. To improve this, we created a streamlined pack by lengthening both the wipes themselves, and the packaging allowing ease of storage both at home and on the move.
The Story Behind WaterWipes
Creator Edward McCloskey.
'When our first daughter was born, she suffered with sensitive skin and developed bad nappy rash. I wanted to find out why, so I took a look at the ingredients in the baby wipes we were using. I was shocked to learn just how many chemicals were in them and questioned should we be putting them on her delicate skin?
I thought there had to be a better way so I set about creating a purer and safe alternative. Many years later and after a lot of hard work, testing, and scientific research, the perfect baby wipes, WaterWipes were born. I hope you like them too.'
- 99.9% purified water and a drop of fruit extract.

- Suitable for weaning, teething, and baby’s hands and face.
When a baby is born, its skin is much thinner than an adult’s and needs time to develop a protective barrier from allergens.
WaterWipes are a fresh product that contains purified water and a drop of fruit extract and because of this, they are suitable on new born babies’ skin.
Frequently Asked Questions
[Q] WaterWipes occasionally come out in clumps. Why?
[A] Previously our wipes dispensed in the same way as other baby wipe brands but WaterWipes don't contain soaps or chemical lubricants to help with the dispensing of the wipes from the pack, WaterWipes could come out of the pack in clumps occasionally. To solve this, we changed our wipes to non-interfolded. The start of each wipe still lies in the centre each time and should be easy to locate.
[Q] My baby has nappy rash, can I still use WaterWipes?
[A] Yes. WaterWipes are not a cure for nappy rash but WaterWipes doesn't contain anything that could further irritate your baby’s delicate skin.
[Q] What is GSE (Grapefruit seed extract)?
[A] Grapefruit Seed Extract (GSE) is a natural skin conditioner. WaterWipes contain 1 part GSE to 1,000 parts water (i.e. 0.1%).
[Q] How do WaterWipes clean?
[A] WaterWipes contain water and grapefruit seed extract. Water is nature’s natural cleanser and moisturiser. Grapefruit seed extract also helps to maintain good skin condition.
[Q] Are WaterWipes flushable?
[A] No. WaterWipes are made from 20% Viscose and 80% Polyester, so only 20% of the wipe material is biodegradable. Therefore, we recommend you do not flush WaterWipes.
[Q] Do WaterWipes have an expiry date?
[A] Yes. We recommend opening within 15 months of the production date and using the pack within 1 month of opening. The production date and expiry date is printed on the back of the pack.
[Q] Can I put WaterWipes in a wipe warmer/wipe dispenser?
[A] No. We do not recommend that WaterWipes are removed from their pack and transferred to any another container, nor should the pack be over-warmed. WaterWipes are a fresh product and should be stored in a cool dry place.
[Q] Do you manufacture wipes for anyone else?
[A] No. We don't make baby wipes for anyone else.

For adults they're ok, but we're still better off not using them - the effect normal wipes have on babies skin is even harsher. The chemicals and alcohol will dry them out and make them really very uncomfortable.
That's where waterwipes come in. Once we switched to these, we had so much less dry skin patches, nappy rash, the lot!
They're gentle on the skin that needs things gentle!
It's worth storing the packs upside down so that the wipes on top don't dry out by all the moisture sinking to the bottom. Also, grabbing just one can sometimes be a pain when you're in a rush (poonami), but it's a small price to pay for a happier baby!
They are natural so very good on baby's skin, I would say twice the size of the average wipe so very helpful on the big jobs (you all know what I mean) and £1 for £1 I reckon actually work out cheaper as one pack lasts twice as long as you use less wipes which is also better for the environment. What's not to love?
1) the already very expensive wipes have gone down from 72 to 60 wipes.
2) they have shrunken in size?
3) when you have a wriggle-monster toddler, who won't allow you to clean their poo-splattered bottom. These wipes are a real PAIN in the backside (pun intended) to get out of the packet. They don't 'pop-up like other leading brands. You end up fighting a losing battle with either toddler or wipes.
Because they're pure water you don't need to worry about sensitive skin, wiping around delicate eyes or them getting some in their mouth when cleaning their faces.
Will continue to order from Amazon for as long as I need them and it remains cheaper than getting them with the supermarket shop.
