The WaterRower Natural is a handcrafted rowing machine which brings you a very natural and authentic rowing experience as if you are in a real boat. This piece of equipment generates a wave-like sound and mimics the movement of a rowing boat to encourage natural motion. Self-regulating water resistance comes from the sealed tank and the dual-rail features a comfortable seat. There are two programmes to choose from: distance and time, and you can easily start your exercise by pressing the Quick Start button. The console will provide you with a range of feedback including stroke rate, number of total strokes, rowing duration, distance, intensity and more. This rowing machine is compatible with a variety of PC software and can be folded vertically for easier storage.

The Ultimate In-Home Exercise Equipment
Total body workout
A single stroke on the WaterRower Natural recruits every large muscle group in the body (84% of total muscle mass.) This total body workout builds lean muscle and burns calories at a rate up to, and even in excess of, 1000 cals / hour.
Unlike the mechanical feeling of fan and magnetic rowing machines, a WaterRower harnesses the power of water to provide a smooth and even resistance. Each stroke on a WaterRower churns the paddle on its unique WaterFlywheel. The result? A workout that feels and sounds just like rowing in a boat, and one that is unrivaled in replicating not only the physiological dynamics of rowing, but also the aesthetic pleasure.
As with rowing in a boat, resistance on a WaterRower is self-regulating. No need for artificial adjustment, resistance on a WaterRower is 100% natural, the harder you pull the greater the resistance. Thus a WaterRower is suitable for any user, from a total beginner through to an Olympic Champion rower.
A further benefit of the WaterFlywheel is the minimal strain that is put on joints and the lower back. Free from the impact and jarring that come with many other forms of cardiovascular exercise, a WaterRower is often used as a training tool for those rehabilitating from injury.
Designed for life
The WaterRower Natural has been designed to fit seamlessly into the home environment. In contrast to traditional exercise equipment, the handsome looks of the WaterRower mean that it compliments the decor of almost any room in the house.
As with all WaterRowers, when not in use the Natural can be stood up vertically for space saving storage. Transportation guide wheels on the front of the the machine allow for the Natural to be easily maneuvered around the home.
Across the WaterRower range (with the exception of the A1 Home) all models function exactly the same. It is the aesthetic that changes to suit different environments. The bestseller in the WaterRower range, the Natural is hand crafted from sustainably sourced solid Ash wood - the same wood that the very first WaterRower was made from over 27 years ago.

Widely regarded as the most realistic rowing simulator on the market, WaterRower’s unique WaterFlywheel uses water resistance to replicate the dynamics of a moving boat.
Renowned as a leading brand in the fitness industry, WaterRower has a reputation for manufacturing rowing machine of the highest quality. Since 1988 WaterRowers have been handcrafted in the small New England town of Warren, Rhode Island. The company is driven by a team of dedicated rowers and ex-rowers with a passion for bringing the health benefits of their sport to a wider audience.
Such is the appeal of WaterRower that the machine has as won many design accolades for its fusion of form and functionality, even beeing featured at the London Museum of Design.

I got a call from the supplier and Waterrower themselves as soon as I'd ordered to check delivery dates with me - fantastic service.
The rower has a smooth and quiet action, quite similar to the resistance I used to get when rowing as part of a four man crew. Highly recommended.
Bought as I pulled Achilles heel hit training, running
What a machine feel fitter already, simple to put together.
Looks good even when lent against wall, should of purchased one years ago
Great addition to my training programme
Its strengths are those mentioned by others here. Firstly, it's quiet, with only the sound of water moving around the tank, in welcome contrast to the demented chain-and-hairdryer sound of the Concept II. That makes it far less likely to bother other occupants of your home, in turn meaning you're more likely to use it - great. Secondly, it stands up easily and securely on its end, unlike a Concept II which totters at best, and has to lean against a wall at worst. In the limited space of the home (as opposed to the abundant space of a gym) this feature is really helpful, allowing you to free up your floorspace quickly so you can stretch out. Thirdly, it looks great. Not a killer feature sure, but still something you'll appreciate when it's part of the furniture.
Its main weakness is its computer, which is markedly less sophisticated than the Concept II's. Its output is also not comparable to the Concept IIs, so if you need to record times for the purposes of competitive rowing, you'll need to do them on a Concept II, which is the standard for rowing clubs (but there's little reason why you couldn't do most of your training on the Water Rower as long as you bore the time differences in mind). But, again, it's more than enough for people who only care about getting fitter. Another is the slightly higher feet position of the WaterRower, which for those of stiff hamstrings could put unwelcome pressure on your lower back. The solution however is to use good rowing technique: rocking forward before pushing back with the legs. And finally, some have questioned the build quality of the Water Rower. I've been using a 2007 model for the last four years and in that time I've had to replace the water tank due the old one breaking after I moved it. However, the new one is much stronger, comes with a three year guarantee and has now withstood two further changes of address without any damage.
A couple of other observations:
Though generally bested by the Concept II for competitive rowing purposes, personally I think the Water Rower encourages a lighter catch than the Concept II which is only going to transfer well on the water. Certainly an unexpected strength.
The wider handle is likely to be worth considering for many users. The longer runners on the other hand will only be useful for the seriously long-of-leg (38 inch inseam leg and above).
Ultimately, rowing is a fantastic, all-over workout. The real question is, does the Water Rower enable people to get the full benefits of this workout? And yes, yes, it most certainly does.
