About the Author

Britney King writes psychological, domestic, and romantic thrillers set in suburbia. She is currently writing three series and several standalone novels. The Bedrock series (psychological/domestic/romantic thriller) features an unlikely heroine who should have known better. Turns out, she didn’t. Thus she finds herself tangled in a messy, dangerous, forbidden love story and face-to- face with a madman hell-bent on revenge. The series has been compared to Fatal Attraction, Single White Female, and Basic Instinct. The Water Trilogy (psychological/domestic/romantic thriller) follows the shady love story of unconventional married couple— he’s an assassin—she kills for fun. It has been compared to a crazier version of Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Also, the hit series Dexter. Around The Bend, is a heart-pounding standalone (romantic suspense/domestic/psychological thriller), which traces the journey of a well-to-do suburban housewife, and her life as it unravels, thanks to the secrets she keeps. If she were the only one with things she wanted to keep hidden, then maybe it wouldn’t have turned out so bad. But she wasn't. The With You series (romantic suspense) is a coming of age, friends to lovers, second chance (plus a few) love story about unlikely friends who travel the world; trying to find themselves, together and apart. It has been compared to Love, Rosie. Britney lives in Austin, Texas with her husband, children, two dogs, and one ridiculous cat. She enjoys hearing from readers and would love it if you would connect with her at www.britneyking.com or the plethora of social media accounts she posses. Despite all the 5 star reviews and a lot of anticipation I didn't finish this book. It was well written, very atmospheric and engrossing until about the halfway mark at which point I really started to struggle with the repetitive mindless and unnecessary killing, the controlling and dark, almost evil nature of their emotional and sexual relationship, and when I'd totally had enough! It just went on and on and I wasn't prepared to spend time I'd never get back seeing if it went anywhere meaningful. Not for me!

I am sorry to say that I found this heavy going at the beginning. Almost gave up at quarter way through. So much needless killing. Got a bit easier as it went on but I did not warm at all to the female protagonist. May try some of the authors other novels.

Style of the book -alternating chapters of different viewpoints of same story- and content refreshing in rare original presentation of love story that you're rooting for!
Enjoyed this so much, not only looking out for rest of trilogy, but going back to book that I hadn't known was by same author that previously I had overlooked as cover didn't appeal to me.

Reading is like falling in love...falling in love at first sight. If you don't fall for the book you read at the end of the page three you should never push yourself hoping maybe...maybe you might on the page fourth, fifth, fiftieth, hundredth because you won't...don't torture yourself.

And Water Under The Bridge is the book that makes you fall in love with it not on the third, not on the second, not on the first page but in the first paragraph because it is written with such a tender heart.

Congratulation Britney.

A pretentious writing style. A very boring story. Some reviewers have said they didn't finish the book, as they weren't prepared to spend any more time to see if it went anywhere. I did, and it didn't.

Unfortunately I couldn't get passed the beginning of chapter 5. I just didn't care about the characters and found it quite dull. The alternating chapters is a refreshing idea but the dialogue was long, monotonous and didn't draw me in to continue reading any further than 4 chapters.

Really enjoyed this dark psychological book - different to those I usually read, but got into it and couldn't put it down, couldn't finish it quickly enough, excellent writer

Rubbish. Very poor dialogue, tedious story line, nothing explaine and after three chapters I wondered why I'd ventured even this far. Don't bother.
