4.0 out of 5 stars Good Ideas For Small Spaces 1 Aug. 2000
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This book has excellent pictures expressing the use of water features for small spaces. Gives good examples of "how to's" and diagrams of putting your water feature together. One of the best I have found on this subject so far.
4.0 out of 5 stars Very helpful illustrations and information 16 Dec. 2013

Who knew there were so many ways to create a water feature?

This is one of several books we bought to help us think about and come up with ideas for a water feature at our newly-purchased home in the mountains of Western North Carolina. We wanted a feature that would attract birds, provide white noise, and fit into a woodland setting.

The steep terrain and the large size of the project meant that we had to hire a landscaper to do the heavy work, but the ideas and illustrations in this book gave us what we needed to express our needs and preferences and to have a productive dialog with our landscaper.

Given the high cost of landscape projects, buying a few books to help develop ideas and understanding of the many options is a worthwhile investment. I did not find just one book that covered everything about water features; in this case I bought three that together provided a comprehensive range of information.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great ideas! 27 Oct. 2008
By Jody - Published on Amazon.com

This is my favorite kind of garden book--ideal for leafing through and picking up ideas. The pictures are lovely, and while some of the projects aren't practical for my own garden, they're great for daydreaming over. All the projects provide step by step instructions for accomplishing small fountains and water features, are really helpful and detailed down to the tools needed. Now, if I could just find a huge ceramic pot on sale, screw up my nerve and drill...

Was looking for interesting ideas that on lows budget - very few ideas listed in this book. Will need to find something else.

I should have believed previous reviews, but purchased anyway as an inexpensive used book. There is not much of interest here.
