bei den philosophen sucht man rat, wenn man etwas beunruhigt ist über den ablauf der dinge. kann uns das büchlein von hannah arendt, WAS IST EXISTENZPHILOSOPHIE - vor vielen jahren geschrieben - heute überhaupt noch etwas sinnvolles sagen - zum beispiel zur frage, wie man sich bei dem konflikt zwischen islam-fundamentalismus und USA verhalten soll? für hannah arendt ist kern der existenzphilosophie, an KOMMUNIKATION zu denken, an den DIALOG als neu begriffenen kern der menschenwürde - und sie beruft sich dabei auf jaspers. für heidegger sei der mitmensch wohl eher etwas störendes gewesen (und in eine anmerkung packt sie die abrechnung mit ihrem ex-geliebten: "eine diskussionswürdige frage ist, ob heideggers philosophie nicht ungebührlich ernst genommen worden ist"). an marx bemängelt sie seine doktrinäre weise (wer täte das nicht) - da ist ihr kierkegaards verzweiflung schon sympathischer. an camus gefiel ihr die pose des trotzes, am urvater der modernen philosophie, KANT, bewundert sie die außerordentliche gelassenheit. um nicht zu sein, wie "die ameise, die auf dem rad des verhängnisses nur kriecht" (herder), liebäugelt sie mit hofmannsthal, "der in uns die alte zärtlichkeit für die welt" zu erwecken suche; von der sind wir gegenwärtig phasenweise meilenweit entfernt - grund genug, sich noch einmal einzulassen auf: hannah arendt ...
