About the Author

Tim Purcell lives in Buckinghamshire with his wife and two sons. He has had an illustrious career in the media which has included writing for TV and Radio as well as writing, producing and directing feature films, corporate videos and music promos. Mike Gething has been a fanatical supporter of the Bolton Wanderers since he saw his first game in 1968. He is currently chairman of the Bolton Wanderers Supporters' Club in London. He works in the music business.

This is a great story and should be better known. It's one of those real life situations that inspires respect and admiration. I understand there are plans afoot to turn this into a film, and I hope they succeed.
