I'm quite undecided about this book. There are sections that are really good, compelling to read, and leave you thinking what a great story this is. On the flip side, sometimes it's hard going and just when you think it's going in a good direction, suddenly changes.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book, very techno orientated but this doesn't detract in anyway from the story. Complicated characters fighting a war they not equipped to fight, an enemy far beyond their understanding. A great way to escape your humdrum live your life through he eyes of a trooper in an awesome fighting machine machine. Well worth reading.

Teensy bit formulaic, however given the date of publication thus book is or was far ahead of its time.
Interesting characters, funny in places, gripping in others. Well worth a read, especially as I got it reduced on the kindle store.

Very good technology snd the characters back stories are good. The main plot line is believable and has a satisfying ending - ish. Hopefully there will be sequels to this.

I read this series in paperback many years ago and I still like this, the first book of the triology. Well worth a read and is OK as a stand alone novel without needing to read the other two books in the series.

I rather enjoyed this. Standard military Sci Fi fare but none the worse for that. Good imaginative storyline with well drawn characters. The book is the first of a series but stands alone and has a beginning a middle and an end.

A refreshing action packed tale exploring how we and other life forms may perceive the universe and each other. Bring on the next in the series.

Great story and well thought out. On book 4 at the moment, having only recently purchased book 1, so has to be good!
