Following on from the 'Tethered Unicorn' I was delighted to see the sequel 'The Warning (Living Dreams)' has finally come out. It is a continuation of the incredible adventures of Rosie and a 'must read'. What makes both books so fascinating is that each book is like no other book I have read and therefore a great find!
Rosie's life probably reflects the lives of many of us or our offspring. It is not always an easy read but it does leave one with a greater understanding of how life can be, one we all hope we don't have to experiance. However it also makes you realise that there is hope for us all, that our children are not a lost cause just because they may not follow the conventional paths we lay down for them. The books helps us to understand why things happen and how we can deal with different events in our lives. I don't often take time to write a review as I appreciate everyone is looking for something different from a book. However, when you do find something special it is worth mentioning it, if only so others don't miss out.
I do hope this author will continue to write, I for one shall certainly be waiting in anticipation of the next book.

I read the first book in this series and really enjoyed it but it read as a true story. However, 'The Warning' seamlessly slipped into the supernatural. I was fascinated by the 'living dreams'. Initially this book was harder to get into than the other two but it was well worth the effort. Very unusual and original books.

I found this book difficult at first but am so glad I persevered as it opened up into an incredible story. It was dark gothic and exciting. Some of the murders were very real, making you feel they were true. The dream was fascinating, and I loved the way it linked up with the mystery surrounding Rosie's life. I hated it when the book ended as it left me wanting more. This is a good story by an interesting author.
