3.0 out of 5 starsDisappointed. Where is the rhubarb?
28 February 2017
This creates a really nice gin and tonic, but we were disappointed with the lack of rhubarb taste. It creates a very tasty gin and tonic but if you want rhubarb you are better off with Edinburgh's rhubarb gin.
Purchased as christmas presnt for mum and she hated it . She loves gin and she loves rhubarb but this just doesnt work. Strange floral, astringent, eau de cologne smell with an unpleasant aftertaste. Have tried with tonic ( yuk), neat (vile), ginger ( tolerable) & lemonade ( OK but only because it dulutes the flavour completely). Dont waste your money ! I wont be buying this or any other WarnerEdwards product again
I purchased this as a gift for friends. They use it as one of the ingredients in cocktail making at home & have used this brand of flavoured gin previously so I was specifically looking for WarnerEdwards which was sold out in other places I tried. I can't comment on the taste as I am teetotal however I am assured by the happy recipients & other friends who enjoyed it at a recent get together that it is really good! The item was delivered on the date I was told so no long waiting in for delivery. Cheers!
If you love gin or simply just like gin & you haven't tried WarnerEdwards yet , then your in for a treat. The distillery is in the next village along from where I live in northamptonshire and also offers tours and tastings. Anyway my absolute favourite is the rhubarb gin with ice cold tonic or soda water it is wonderful. Hands down the best gin iv ever tasted & yes that includes Hendricks & portobello road.
