At first I thought that Elly and Carter's relationship was very typical of most romance novels, of being friends first then reconnecting and falling in love. I have to say though, I fell in love with their relationship. Their first time seeing each other again was so lovely and had me grinning like a Cheshire Cat. Seeing them be fully open with their feelings in front of each other was such a lovely thing.
The whole backstory with Elly's mum and the cancer was a great twist and was interesting to see it as part of relationship baggage. I lived seeing how the thought of cancer affected them both.
I think I would have liked to have seen Carter's family integrated into the book more. But who knows maybe the author will write a book about the wedding and we will get more back story on both if their family's past.
The fact that this book was written from both a male and female perspective was a lovely touch. Overall a great book. I seriously hope another book comes out with the wedding and the aftermath of her health scare and going for all those check ups (if there's not one already).
With a friendship from the start with a new colleague who happens to be in Ellys life also it's not long before they are reunited and start the journey together as they always wanted to be with their hearts belonging to each other for nearly nine years they finally admit their feelings however like all new relationships there are a few bumps in the road that they have to over come.
This story shows the present and the past with memories for each character and it had me in tears at some points but even throw the tears I still had to read on and I can't wait to download the rest of this series
I immediately fell in love with all the characters in this book. Steph Nuss is brilliant at getting you to connect with the characters and her writing style is refreshing. I was happy to find this book was not your typical young love romance it felt like it had more depth. It is also written from both points of view which is brilliant. I will definitely look forward to reading more books by her.
If your looking for a nice romantic read that will touch your heart with oh so steamy sex scenes and laugh out loud comments this book is for you. Please let there be more!!! I'm hoping for spin offs at the very least.

The flow of the book could have been better, often the consecutive plots are predictable and made me skip pages but was still ok overall.Published 12 months ago by Seeker
