It is a scholarly and truly monumental work, deeply profound and, of course, controversial. --(Alan Hart, British Journalist and covert diplomat in Middle East, ITN's News at 10, BBC's Panorama)
A seriously funny writer and the wittiest musician since Ronnie Scott. We're lucky Gilad Atzmon is around. --(Robert Wyatt, musician and founding member of Soft Machine)

This book should be in all our libraries and schools, especially those in Israel.
It’s a pity Israelis can’t accurately view what they are doing.
The author raises some good points and it’s hard not to agree with him.
He has the ability to put all the propaganda aside and analyse what’s left.
Israel is an apartheid state with a fabricated history that’s so flimsy it needs the protection of the law to uphold it. You cannot legislate what is truth, truth needs no defence. It’s an absurdity that nobody must question anything the Israelis put forward as truth. I thought that deplorable attitude ended with the death of Stalin.
Neither would I recommend the Bible as a reference for historical facts or moral judgement. A religion whose leading prophet ‘Moses’ instructs his people to slaughter “put to the sword” thirty thousand men, woman and children for no other reason than to take their land and property. This has no place in the modern world. It sounds more like instructions from Stalin. You can read the biblical details in Deuteronomy and Numbers.
Also, when over 94% of the Israeli population agreed with the massacring & bombing of the defenceless Palestinian population (operation cast lead) then they are in urgent need of a revised education.
If Israelis would read Atzmon’s book and those by other eminent Israeli authors such as Shlomo Sand (The invention of the Jewish people) and Ilan Pappe, (The ethnic cleansing of Palestine), it would do more to bring peace to the middle east than all the propaganda machines put together. As Shlomo Sand once concluded ‘Palestinians are more likely to be descendants of the ancient Semitic people than the current, predominantly Khazarian originated population’.
Well done Gilad Atzmon.
