Walltastic is the next generation of designer wallpaper murals, designed by kids, for kids. Make your children’s room a fun place to be.
Walltastic are highly detailed, unique, computer-generated murals, suitable for tots to teens. They are easy to put up and are supplied in 12 pieces, suitable for kids' bedrooms, nurseries, playrooms or games' rooms.
Walltastic is interactive and educational for your children by giving them opportunities for identifying all of the elements of the design such as animals and characters.
The mural's size is 10 feet wide by 8 feet high and it comes in 12 strips, so no need to struggle cutting or measuring long awkward rolls. The mural is simply applied to the wall with paste.
Walltastic has a unique blue backing which means if you do not wish to strip off the existing wallpaper there is no need to, as the blue backing will not let the existing paper show through.
Top customer reviews
That said, this product is heavily let down by the quality of the paper. You can get a sense of that from the other reviews and the instructions which make a point of how much the paper might expand. The paper does soak up an awful lot of water from the paste. It expands a lot - it's hard to guess whether you'll end up with bobbling or shrinkage, but to be fair it was fine on drying. Given it's a kid's/nursery product, a waterproof and ideally self-adhesive paper would be best. Also, it's quite easy to take off some of the pattern from the front as you work if it gets wet. That's why it's only getting three stars from me. If they sort the paper quality then it would be a definite five stars.
I got a painter to put it up for us and it was his first time at doing this kind of job, the result was mixed... the panels on the bottom half could not line up properly. God knows what it would have ended up like if I did it myself!
The instructions suggested using double sided tape, which in hindsight might have been a better option as using traditional wallpaper paste expanded and shrunk the panels, making them hard to line up
