This is just fab, made a great gift for my engineer father in law, any fans of wallace and gromit will love it especially if they are in to building things, tech or gadgets. This book combines the 2 volumes currently available and so makes more sense to buy as it is cheaper. The cut away pictures are very clever and detailed with lots of labels explaining how they work. Makes a great coffee table book and a great fun gift for the man who has everything (or the woman!)

I used this to teach explanation texts, coupled with the DVD's, as the book is full of them. The children really engaged with the videos and then the texts from this book. Plenty of contraptions explained up to Curse of the Warerabbit. The illustrations are particularly good.
