The game itself is great, you feel for each character and you will be sat on the edge of your seat deciding wether to reason with an enemy or let one of the group go. Its the hard decisions this game presents that keeps you so involved. You are introduced to new characters through out the game, each one completely different from the next. You are constantly trying to figure out who you should and shouldn't trust which is probably what i love most about this game. It has depth that you don't see in a lot of games these days.
One thing i found slightly annoying is that they could have made the game itself a little harder. If you have to sneak up to someone theres only one speed and if you just click on the enemy/item Lee will just walk the whole way up to it without you really having to do anything. If you get a gun you don't really need to aim it particularly well as it comes up with a headshot anyway. I actually completed one of the chapters without really having to think about to much i just looked for something to interact with and let the story carry on. However the chapters do offer puzzles and things you have to find or figure out to progress the story which can sometimes be tough yet sometimes be a little too easy.
I gave this game 5* because it felt like it was well worth the money i had paid and i could happily play it again making different decisions and going about the game in a whole new way.
Hope this helps
It is pretty much a direct port of the PS3 version with some slightly glitch gameplay and less than inspiring visuals if compared to the PS3, it isn’t a title for showing off the raw power of the PS4.
That being said it is an amazing story and well worth buying if you haven’t played the previous gen version or if like me you got panicked into buying it as loading up season two it looks for the previous game save!
It is also not the longest game but I guess there is replay value as you make different decisions and see how the story changes.
My only criticisms are that these games can often be quite stuttery when attacking people etc, that and you have to be a quick reader because there is a time limit usually for when you voice your opinions to others.
Also my other complaint why I didnt give it 5 stars is although it is a game about choices and your choices do impact how other survivors feel about you etc, overall after every episode the outcome is more or less the same.
