I bought this before a week's holiday on the edge of the Akamas peninsula and I would describe it as "quite useful". Like the other guide available most of the walks are in the central Troodos region, and there are some in North Cyprus - I wasn't here long enough to make it worth sorting the border and car hire arrangements to enter the North (what Cypriot maps refer to as "under Turkish occupation since 1974"). The walks I did in Akamas are well-known and well-marked nature trails, all contained in a booklet of Cyprus nature trails available from the Cyprus Tourist Organisation. The walking directions are clear and accurate, however the routes are way marked so a book is not necessary: as a plus this guide does offer a little extra information about things to look out for. As an alternative most people I saw out were using the Rother Walking Guide in its original German edition - Amazon have an English language version [[ASIN:376334814X Cyprus - South & North: Rother Walking Guide - 50 walks] which has a similar style and range of walks. If you're staying in the West look out for the locally produced "On and Off the Beaten Track", two booklets from a local ex-pat walking group that cover from Paphos up to Polis and Chrysochou Bay (I bought mine in Polis charity bookshop). Overall I found this book was more useful in planning a holiday than necessary for the walks when being there.
