I got this book free, I love the regency era this story was really good. I loved that the tale was unique which is very rare to regency romance. I will definitely be purchasing more books by Kasey Michael's.

I agree with the reviewer who stated the second book in this series Someone to Love (Love in the Regency Book 2) is a better story which for some reason I read first. However, if I had it to do over, I would definitely have read Waiting for You (Love in the Regency Book 1) first. Although I am giving this book four stars, I had some issues with this book based on the following:

#1 - I don't particularly care about a storyline that gives so much dialogue over to the minor characters such as Ms. Michaels did with Clancy and Cluny - the Shakespearean actors who basically raised the H/h. Clancy and Cluny were wonderful fellows, but to me, they eventually took away from the storyline. I found myself actually skimming through much of their dialogue.

#2 - The storyline was a little on the dark side for me. August Coltrane was an evil man who brought debauched gatherings into his home, the servants would flee and leave August's son, Jack (6 years old) and his ward, Merry (six months old) alone in the nursery with Jack having to sneak food from the kitchens and take care of all of Merry's needs. Jack learned to fear and hate his father from an early age. But, he loved Merry with a passion that would never leave his heart.

Clancy and Cluny come into their lives early on and decide to stay and take care of Jack and Merry since "Awful August" is never at home except for a couple of weeks each year.

Excellent read, made all the better for having believable characters even if you don't believe in ghosts, cannot wait to read the next one.

I read this a couple of weeks ago and have forgotten what it's about so it didn't make a big impression on me. O.K for a quick read.
