This book has it all - secrets, lies, attraction, love. To say I loved this book is an understatement.

It reminds me very much of Ruining Me by Nicole Reed which I previously reviewed, and also loved.

Avery is a young woman starting in a new area, going to a new college, meeting new people, trying to make new friends.
Cameron, or Cam, is the first person she bumps into, literally, as she runs through a door and runs right into him!
Cam is a typical college bad boy, a womaniser who is used to girls falling all over him.

Avery and Cam are attracted to each other, but she holds back. She is hiding something and no matter what Cam does she will not open up to him, or allow herself to get too close to him.

Avery is running from something, and when she starts receiving texts and emails, it seems whatever that is may be catching up with her.

Will Avery allow herself to open up and let Cam in? Can Cam break down the barriers Avery has put up around herself? And will she ever be able to face up to what happened in the past? Will Cam be around to help her or will she be on her own?

When Avery's secrets finally came out I honestly thought I had it figured out, but I was wrong. I was shocked as to the extent of what had happened in her past, when she was so young and vulnerable, and the aftermath of it was even more shocking.

The author manages to portray the friendship between these two in such a way the reader is drawn to both of them. The slow build up works so well and at just the right pace to keep the readers attention. I was willing these two to work things out, for Avery to allow her heart to open up and trust Cam. I fell in love with these two, as I'm sure other readers will also.

This was a pleasure to read. If you have any reservations to the fact that it focusses on young adults of Uni age, don't; I am in my mid 30's and some of the best reads I have found are of this genre.

Both Avery and Cameron are strong endearing characters, but not without their weaknesses and their journey captivated me. There simply aren't enough adjectives to describe Cam; with every chapter I fell a little bit more in love with him. Avery has barriers around herself; because of this she could be frustrating at times but Cam brings out the best in her and whilst I thought I had her secret sussed, I was only half right and my heart absolutely went out to her. Their friends were also great characters, generating many of the lighter humorous moments exactly when it needed it.

Jennifer Armentrout/J. Lynn has written a great book that generated many emotions; it made me laugh, it frustrated me, saddened me and had moments that pulled on the heartstrings combined with those that were truly heartwarming. It also held a few unexpected surprises as the story progressed making for a read that I couldn't put down. Whilst there were a couple of tiny grammatical errors, it doesn't by any means detract from a superb book. Wait For You is certainly one that I will read again and can recommend.

I'm rather emotionally drained and frankly exhausted as it's 1am and I've been reading this non stop for 6 hours! So I'll review after I've slept :)

Ok, I've slept and ready to get this off my chest!

I know when a romance has grabbed me when I'm reading huge portions of the book with a goofy grin on my face! The interaction between Cam and Avery was so cute and Cam really made me laugh sometimes with his comments, and his self assuredness. He was fantastic, a little bit too good to be true but hey it wouldn't be much worth reading romance if the heroes weren't desirable, right?
I loved all the wooing, I loved how Cam treated her so gently but always with respect and tenderness. I could keep gushing!

Avery was at times frustrating but I did understand her attitude and until the bracelet incident I think she handled Cam with integrity. Yes I'm sure she gave mixed signals but he knew what was going on. It was so obvious he knew all along which makes it all the more special that he did wait for her.

This was a pretty emotional book at times. I'm on record as saying that I think a certain topic is rather overused in New Adult books and this book hasn't changed my mind on that. I do feel it was well dealt with in this case though and the focus was on Avery making a life and learning to trust and to love. Ultimately this was a love story and it was beautiful.

As I've said, I read this in 6 hours straight, so I think that has to be an endorsement of how well the book flowed and the writing style grabbed me. The characters were so beautifully written. It did feel like it dragged at times, I wanted them to get on with it already, but well I was tired and as you can see I didn't mark it down.

In summary, a great book for that emotional ride and for gushing over a beautiful romance!

Anything that J.Lynn aka Jennifer L. Armentrout writes, I'll read it. I don't care if it's a novella, a short story or a full book and I'll read it. She fast became one of my favourite authors and I'm hoping she'll continue knocking out fantastic books, like Wait for You.

Wait for You is a New Adult story and you all know how popular these type of stories have become in the last year, and by the looks of it, there's hear to stay. I'm a huge fan of it but what I find it sometimes, they can be a tad predictable. However, true to Jen's previous books, her work could never be predictable.

Avery and Cam were such an enjoyable duo to read about. Their relationship is feisty, funny and so very steamy! There's an undeniable attraction between them that slowly builds over time and causes so much tension. Cam really brings out the best in Avery, but unbeknown to Cam, Avery's hiding a dark past that really can threaten everything they've worked for. I also loved the secondary characters too and I'm eager to see more of Cam's sister in the companion novel.

In all, Wait for You is a hot and sexy read with a cracking story line and fantastic characters - what more could you want? I loved it and I'd highly suggest you read it!
