Firstly I want to say this book has a beginning, a middle and an end. This could so easily have been split up into a trilogy but the two authors have put it out as one fairly long book. However, just because of its high page count, don’t assume you will ever want to skim past anything, because trust me, every word is needed in this story.

I don’t even know how to put into words what it was about this story that made me love this book. There is no valid reason as to why I should like this book!

For a start I don’t really enjoy reading about Dommes yet the female lead, Susannah, was a Domme. I don’t normally read mm, yet most of the male characters were gay and engaging in gay sex. I don’t like forced sex, yet a lot of the sex was non-consensual. So why did I enjoy the book?

Well it was the combination of the characters and the writing style of the authors. I found it very easy to be dragged into each hellish situation. There was enough description that you knew exactly what was going on, without being sickeningly graphic.

I thought Victor and Nicholas were brilliant villains. They were evil, they were b@stards, they were c@nts of the highest c@nty degree. Victor was a sick and twisted b@stard. Nicholas was no better as he actually started the abuse under the umbrella of training Jasper to be the perfect submissive for Victor. There is nothing about Nicholas that can ever be fixed, he is beyond redemption. Not that he wants redemption, he is quite happy to inflict his sadistic, torturous regimes onto Jasper and the other kidnapped victims. I would actually say he is dancing closer with the devil than Victor. Victor is obsessed with Jasper, in a twisted f@cked up kind of way he was in love with Jasper.

Wow, what a book, I loved it! My emotions were all over the place.

Wait For Me is quite a dark read which delves into the world of human trafficking and there will be triggers for some people. It has rape, m/m scenes, BDSM, totrure, kidnapping, human trafficking but it also has a love story at the heart of it, the kind of love that is so strong it refuses to die and will overcome anything to survive.

Susannnah is a 25 year old FBI agent and a dominatrix, Jasper is her 18 year old neighbour who wants to submit to her fully and explore his submissive side with her. But Susannah is worried about the age difference and what others might say.

After being sent on her first assignment into the world of human trafficking, Susannah is betrayed. Jasper is abducted and Susannah realises her feelings for Jasper are much more than just wanting to dominate him. She blames herself for Jasper's capture and vows to find and rescue him.

Will she get to Jasper in time or will it be too late to save him?

My heart hurt so much for Jasper. For all he was only eighteen he proved he was a strong young man, both physically and mentally. He showed such an iron strong will during his capture and the things he was subjected to would've destroyed anyone else. His one and only thought through all of it was Susannah.

There were so many rich and wonderful characters in this story that I can't begin to discuss or I'll be here all day but the two evil villains Nicholas and Victor? Omigod I wanted to punch them in the throat so many times! They were sick, twisted and cruel, perfect for each other.

I would love to see Malachi, a Dom who is one of Susannah's friends, get his own story.

Wait for Me - T S McKinney 5 Stars

Susannah a newly qualified FBI agent is in love with her 18 year old neighbour Jasper. She only holds back from him because of the 7 year age gap. Susannah is having serious doubts about her career choice, but her first assignment is so horrific she really wants to nail the sex and human traffickers. Soon Susannah is captured, her FBI partner is nearly killed and Jasper is kidnapped as a pet, she is released and needs to find Jasper before the damage that's done runs too deep, can she save him ?

Wow, where do I start ? This is a long and really dark book not the common 'read it in one session' book! ....but if I had enough hours and didn't need to sleep I probably would have read it in one go as it was that gripping. There is a lot of non-consensual sex which I usually don't like, however the way the book is written it makes a fantastic read with so many twists and turns - I really enjoyed it. In places the drama and suspense was so intense I could feel my heart beating, the adrenaline pumping and couldn't read fast enough.

The bad characters were very well portrayed and certainly lived upto their names. Whilst I loved all the characters the only thing I couldn't get my head around and understand was Susannah's need to dominate Jasper so strongly especially after everything he has been through.

I loved that this is a standalone and that the authors didn't split this book up, it could've easily been a trilogy but it's so refreshing that it wasn't. Such a great read and not your usual run of the mill story.
