Bamboo Stylus duo
The Bamboo Stylus duo has two sides: a smooth, conductive rubber nib ideal for media tablets and an inking nib that allows you to write on paper. The straightforward, minimalistic lines and simple colour styling in black and silver are hallmarks of the Bamboo Stylus duo that underscore its refined style and reflect Wacom′s 25 years of experience in digital pen tablet development.
The Bamboo Stylus duo′s functions are as well thought-out as its design. The slim dimensions of its rubber nib allow for a high level of precision. The stylus cap fits both ends of the pen, protecting the nib that is not in use. The standard ballpoint cartridge can be replaced easily – as can the conductive rubber nib on the other end.

Bamboo Stylus rubber nibs are produced with the highest quality materials to ensure the best on screen feeling and experience. However, as with most other things, after excessive or extended use it is possible that the nibs can show signs of wear. We rigorously test all Bamboo Stylus to ensure you get to enjoy them for as long as possible, however depending on your usage level at some point they may need replacing. The rubber nib design eliminates the need for users to apply heavy pressure when using on screen, which assists in extending the nib life. It is advisable to prevent the stylus from being dropped as this can cause premature nib damage.
Combined stylus and ballpoint pen without compromises to provide the best experience in both worlds. Improves experiences with applications for sketching. Elegant platinum silver and black finish with satin-textured plated metal body. 25% slimmer rubber tip than other solutions on the market (6 mm vs. 8 mm). Weight-balanced design. Soft rubber rings for a smooth fit of the cap on both ends.

Google for "Watcom Bamboo Duo Stylus counterfeit", to find out about the differences between the original and the fake.
It is the most robust and the stylus tip is stronger than any other I have used. To that, add the fact that you can replace the nibs (although I've had mine a few months and can't see any signs of wear or weakening) and you have a very good product.
The other, 'pen', end is good - the ink in the pen is smooth and it writes well.
It's not cheap - I grant you - but it is the best stylus I have used, and with the pen as well, I would thoroughly recommend this product.
The only reason I give it 4/5 stars is the cost - but I should add that it has been worth the cost to me. And if you're using it on, and can afford, an iPad, the price is probably not the deciding factor.
It is a well made, good quality bit of kit.
It's a nice size and a good weight, whether writing with the pen or using the stylus, it feels well constructed and nicely balanced. The body has a nice cold feel to it, hinting at quality. It's pretty discrete too, looking mostly like a regular pen. The lid usually sits over the pen end, keeping the ink dry and protecting it from writing over whetever's in your pocket. It can also be swapped to the stylus end to protect the fairly sensitive rubber tip.
In use, the stylus is excellent. It gives fine control and works well with a number of freehand drawing apps, either for sketching, marking up documents or even "hunt-and-pick" typing using the keyboard. The tip has a reasonable level of resistance on the screen, just enough to give good control, not so much that it's a battle to draw anything. The rubber feels fairly soft, and will eventually wear out. I have seen other reviewers commenting on how easy it is to tear and I can imagine it but haven't encountered any problems in the last month of ownership. That said, you can pick up a pack of replacement tips for a fiver, so it shouldn't be a big problem.
My only real gripe is with the pen - the ink takes an age to come through and if the paper you want to write on has been anywhere near a colour laser printer, you don't stand much of a chance of writing anything on it. The closest you will get is using a pencil to reveal the furios scribblings you etched into the paper while trying to get the pen to "do SOMETHING!!!".Read more ›
My Brother in Law, an Apple engineer suggested Bamboo.
I bought the Bamboo Duo and to say the least it has transformed my in app and on line experiences tremendously !!
If like me you have the not most delicate of hands, Bamboo is the way forward. 'It's Magic'
The first thing to say is that it feels lovely in hand, a bit like a high end pen (reminds me of when I went through a phase writing with fountain pens many years ago). The nib is soft (and apparently replaceable). The body of the stylus itself seems to be made of metal. I find that I am more accurately able to produce drawings/write and annotate my notes than with more cheaper versions. It is almost as fast as writing with a pen (especially as I've become more accustomed to software).
The price point at the moment is excellent.
The pen on the other side is an added bonus - especially in instances such as being asked to fill in a register or feedback form that is being passed around the class - no need to go digging in your bag!
I wouldn't say there are any significant disadvantages, I understand the nibs will apparently wear out and new ones don't seem cheap. The pen is also refillable, but again it seems the refills are proprietary.

OK but lacks the accuracy and sensitivity I was hoping for. However lightweight and practical with pen at opposite end!Published 1 month ago by Amazon Customer
