Chris Jericho was set to defend the WWE IC Championship against a overall selection of RAW contenders, where the WWE Universe voted in Shelton Benjamin. This was a great start to the pay-per-view and a great way of seeing Shelton show off his true talent in the ring.
A fulfil your fantasy diva battle royal was up next where the WWE universe had to choose three outfits for the WWE divas to wear during the battle royal. You had a choice of 1. French-maids 2. Nurses and 3. School-girls. The WWE universe voted in school-girls and the amount of beauty in the ring was incredible seeing the likes of Trish Stratus and Stacey Keibler.
A weapon of choice match was set for Gene Snitsky and Kane where the WWE universe had the choice of 1. Lead-pipe 2. Steel-Chair or 3. Chain. A chain was selected and used throughout the entire match. This was a match that I really enjoyed with a lot of domination by Snitsky who brutalized Kane throughout and towards the end of the match.
Eugene took on Eric Bischoff where the WWE universe had to vote for the loser of the match to 1. Get head shaved 2. Wear a dress or 3. A servant for the loser. Option 3 of loser gets head shaved was the choice selected and the outcome was hilarious throughout.
La Resistance had to defend the WWE World Tag Team Championships against the two superstars who weren't selected to face Triple H for the World Heavyweight Championship. Chris Benoit and Edge were set to team with each other, despite Edge was in no mood for tag team gold. Edge partially played his part for half the match and then decided to walk out half way through the match. However despite Benoit being one man down, he overcame this and led to victory.
The 2004 diva search winner Christy Hemme took on Carmella in a match of three choices 1. Aerobics challenge 2. Pillow fight 3. Evening Gown match. A pillow fight was chosen, with both divas just hitting each other with pillows and the right diva won.
Triple H was set to defend his World Heavyweight Championship against a partially injured Shawn Michaels, Shawn Michaels was literally just giving us his best to try and not let his injury run down his performance in the ring. Triple H has brutal as he can be was working on the injured area of Michaels. Edge made a return to the ring and speared Michaels allowing Triple H to win the match. I think the outstanding part of this match was the effort of Shawn Michaels, injured or not he gave us an outstanding performance.
A main event with three choices 1. Falls count anywhere 2. Submission 3. Steel Cage. A steel cage was waiting for Randy Orton and Ric Flair who brutalised and bloodied each other inside the cage. Despite it being a rather short main event, but in the time given it's one of my favourite steel cage matches,
My overall review of WWE Taboo Tuesday 2004, with it being a first time fan participation event, it was an amazing pay-per-view to sit through. I recommend to all WWE fans either old or new. WATCH IT :).
Pre - Show
Sgt. Slaughter vs Muhammad Hassan W/ Daivari - 1/10
Worst match I ever saw I actually fell asleep
Singles Match For Intercontinental Championship
Shelton Benjamin vs Chris Jericho - 6/10
Good like most Shelton Benjamin matches the other opponents you could choose to face Jericho were -
Batista, Johnathan Coachman, Christian, Rhyno, Maven, William Regal, Tyson Tomoko, Tajiri, Steven Richards, Val Veins, Rosey, Chuck Palumbo & Rodney Mack.
Fulfill You're fantasy Battle Royal For Women's Championship
Trish Stratus vs Stacy Keibler vs Victoria vs Gail Kim vs ,Molly Holly vs Jazz vs Nidia - 7/10
An actual really good Diva's match which Trish won I really really thought Stacy had this one so did the crowd and King & J.r but I guess not. The attire voted was School Girl the other attire's were -
French Maid & Nurse.
Choose Weapon Match
Gene Snitsky vs Kane W/ Lita - 3/10
Lita's worst match it was a boring ending to a rubbish storyline the weapon chosen was Chain the other weapons available were Steel Chair or Lead Pipe.
Choose Loser's Fate Challenge
Eugene vs Eric Bischoff - 4/10
Another Boring useless match which Eugene won meaning Eric Bischoff head would be shaved the other choices were Loser has to wear a dress or Loser becomes winner's servant.
Tag Team Match For Tag Team Championship
Chris Benoit & Edge vs La Resistance (Robert Conway & Sylvain Grenier) - 5/10
An average match was'nt bad but we could of just seen this on RAW.
Lingerine Pillow Fight
Christy Hemme vs Carmella - 3/10
A Pillow Fight good attire just no. I mean if they were in normal Pj's it would of been better if they came out in their actual attire the match would of been longer in-stead of 1:48 and Carmella's shoulder was up even the crowed booed the King even pointed out it was and then even worse it was to end a rival... (Facepalm) However the other match choices were -
Evening Gown Match or Aerobics Challenge.
Singles Match For World Heavyweight Championship
Triple H vs Shawn Michael's - 9/10
A really good match HHH's other opponents could of been -
Edge or Chris Benoit.
Steel Cage Match
Randy Orton vs Ric Flair - 8/10
Another really good mtach the other match stipulations you could of voted for were -
Falls Count Anywhere match or Submission Match.
Overall - 8/10
A very good PPV with some very ugly matches and some good matches I would reccomend it to any WWE or wrestling fan out there.
