Much like Volume 1 this probably isn't the "best" of Nitro but it does offer up a series of matches, promos and incidents that sum up just what an exciting programme Nitro could be in it's heyday as well as offering us a reminder of just what drove the company out of business.
Disc 1 of the blu-ray set takes us from a September 1995 match between Sting and Ric Flair, up to May 1998 and the "Birth of Wolfpac". Highlights from a match point of view including an interesting Dean Malenko/Jushin Liger match, a Rey Mysterio vs. Juventud Guerrera Cruiserweight Title match and Goldberg's first title win in WCW in a match for the US Title against Raven. It's not an all-time classic by any means, but it's worth watching. It's little surprise that the Cruiserweights offer up the best action but whilst the quality of the in-ring product isn't quite the same there are also interesting battles between The Steiner Brothers and The Road Warriors, a mega starred six man pitting Hollywood Hogan, Kevin Nash & Scott Hall against Sting, "Macho Man" Randy Savage & The Giant and a match pitting La Parka against compilation host Diamond Dallas Page which keep things ticking along.Read more ›
One of the things I love about watching WCW is the unpredictable feel of the show. The feeling that anything can happen and that still comes across over 10 years later.

Great set a lot better than volume 1 though DDP does get a bit annoying after a while . The matches are good and so are the clips overall a good buy for fans.Published on 23 Sept. 2013 by RECKLESS ROB
WCW in my view was real competition, alot better than the WWF back in the day WCW needs to return.Published on 30 July 2013 by Windell
