    This works fine but the rotary control of output voltage is very difficult to adjust finely. I am converting 18V to 13V.
    Just a small rotation makes the voltage jump by about a volt. I would have preferred a ten-turn pot.

    I needed to convert 12V 8A to 3.8V to keep using old android tablet without a battery. Out of 3 different models of Buck converters I tried from amazon this is the only one that worked. At very least it can change voltage within wide range. For my purpose I verified that I can adjust output as 1V-8V and from 12V input. Yes it is difficult to adjust finely. But another two ordered/tried Buck converters failed to do the job (1-2V output only) and going to be returned. You better have multimeter to make sure you have proper output voltage. In my case I substituted 3900 mAh battery using 12v8A Power supply + this buck converter. The heat dissipation by this converter in my case is negligible +2"C.

Ich hab' die eingebauten dünnen Kühlkörper entfernt und gegen einen größeren ausgetauscht. So wird das Teil bei bis zu 3A nicht handwarm. Mehr mag ich den doch etwas dünnen Leiterbahnen nicht zumuten. Zum Einstellen der Spannung, das abhängig von der Eingangsspannung schon grob vonstatten geht, habe ich einen (vorhandenen) Knopf mit 10-Gang-Mechanik verwendet. So geht es sehr präzise.
