I know that there are times when a short snappy read is just the thing but these Mountain Men are guys that you really could get used to hanging around with a little longer and so in many respects that is my major gripe.
But if that is all I have to moan about then I would have to say that you are in for a treat. Don’t expect the author to re-invent the wheel, this is a tried and tested scenario but what the others doesn’t have is Wilder and that is definitely the unknown factor in all of this because while Stella was ok, it was Wilder that was the star of the show.
He was everything I thought he would be and more, he was a man’s man, alpha to the core but with a gentle side of him that would be enough to melt the hardest heart but would it be enough for Stella?
Their first encounter was a passionate one night stand in Seattle but as we all know actions there are often repercussions and with their impending second “date” approaching Stella was facing a truth that had her terrified, she is pregnant and never mind the worry if Wilder is going to turn up for the date…how the heck does she tell him he is going to be a daddy?
Unexpected events mean that Wilder's life has changed beyond all recognition and that is before he discovers Stella’s news.
He knew she was his from the minute he laid eyes on her but that doesn’t mean that he expected to be a parent straight off the bat but then again he never expected what he got when he came back to the mountain and he is dealing with that.
But can he convince Stella to give them a go and if she does will they make their situation…all of it work?Read more ›
This is my first book from Frankie Love and I have to say I really enjoyed it. It's a quick novella size read with an insta-love story line, hot lumberjacks, strong independent women and lots of beautiful babies what more could you ask for.
Wilder is in Seattle for a business meeting where he meets Stella they hit it off immediately. There's an instant chemistry which neither one can deny but all they have is this one night. When fate steps in to lend a hand and they find themselves together again both need to open up to each other about what happening in there lives that will have life changing effects on their future.
The secondary characters really intrigued me so I will definitely be going back and reading the other books in this series. Each book can be read as a standalone
Wilder has been sent by Jaxon & buck to look into a reality show interested in filming about them. As he's the only one not married with kids he's the one they agree to go as the publicity will help their firm. They live in the mountains & build custom homes.
He meets Stella in a bar after she's had a really terrible interview. The chemistry is hot so they make arrangements to meet in later in the year. Will they both turn up ? Things change are they for the better?
Wow I totally loved these mountain men. They are a definite must recommend you read. I've read Hunter (Jaxon & Harper) & bucked (Rosie & buck) these are all standalone books but the characters are mentioned in the other books and there stories are great.
I Voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
This is a very short and fast paced novella size read although I didn't realize it was a novella when I first picked it up. While it was a short read it was well wrote and there is a lot of depth to the book I just struggled to connect to the characters in such a short amount of time which is a problem I sometimes have with novellas. I don't want to give to much away of the actual plot so I wont say much more except to say that if short quick paced book are your type of read then this is worth a look.
I will defiantly be reading more from this author and I look forward to seeing their other work. Again if you want a quick well wrote read with insta love mixed in then this is the book for you.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader. Copy of this book
