He raises a genuine issue about the nature of God's anointing upon our lives, so often we expect some miraculous download but Nori rightly reminds us that through the Holy Spirit God indwells us and therefore we need to be sensitive to the Lord who indwells us and flow in the gifting and grace that he has already imparted to us. In many ways this book is talking in a very practical way about practising the presence of God, this enriches the book and has the potential to be a godly influence in our own lives.
some people will say that the book is too subjective, my reply to this is to remind the reader that there is an essential subjective dimension to the Christian faith the problem occurs when some turn their Christianity into a form of subjectivism, but, Nori avoids this by anchoring all of his teaching in the Word of God. In this regard some will say that Nori does not spell out how to relate Word and Spirit but we must see that the whole book shows us how to do that.Read more ›
His personal encounter with the condition of Brokenness and surrender to God describes how it opens up our very being to move into who Jesus is capable of changing us to be.
More could (possibly should) have been said (not heretically Don, but in a challenging way to prompt exploration!) about the experiential encounters with the family of God in the heavenly dimensions whom we can know and interact with in relationship with Jesus. I mean heavenly righteous beings that serve the Lord and us...to help us grow into new creatures in Christ. The believers who have gone on before and who are "in Life" as we are, as well as angels, seraphim, elders, powers, rulers, councils etc. Like, how the heavenly connection can become the heavenly daily reality, living in both realms at the same time, resting in and applying God's kingdom. This is the reality we are increasingly called to operate in and from. It needs describing, how to discern and how to move in it with Jesus who has already passed through it. That would be a good chapter to include and it would make the book more akin to what's really going on these days in heaven and earth link-ups. Experiences....a daily way of life....reserved in heaven (the dimensions) for us. The love and power of another world plugged into this one.
I was sent this book by Destiny Image Publishers, who asked me to review it. Usually I don't like their authors and find them splattered with unfortunately entrenched religiosity that needs to be left behind because they posture as truly prophetic when they are not, but this one says it like it is and it warms the cockles of the heart.
