About Vodafone

Our outstanding network gives you excellent UK coverage for calls, texts and mobile broadband – indoors and out

  • We build our network so that signals from our masts overlap each other. It means you get fewer dropped calls and better mobile broadband.
  • We focus on giving you a strong signal indoors and outside – unlike some operators who concentrate on spreading their signal over the widest area.
  • We’re the network of choice for many of the UK’s emergency services. Ambulance, police and fire services know they can rely on us.
  • We make sure you get the fastest service possible – even at the busiest times of the day – thanks to the extra capacity we build into our network.

On first appearance this phone looks like good value and seems stylish.
Be warned, it is a false economy and is cheap for a reason.
First of all, the touch screen is EXTREMELY slow witted, and also rather insensitive, so standard jobs like texting and working your way through the (illogically laid out) menus soon becomes infuriating, and very, very slow. A typical text message on this taking 2-3 times longer to complete correctly than on my old push button Nokia.
Secondly, the apps take an age to load, by that I mean 5 - 10 minutes +, just for some of the games.
Others often crash the phone or fail to load at all.
Thirdly, yes it has an MP3 player and camera, but no USB port, so if you want to add any songs or transfer your photos over, you need to take out the memory card and put it in a suitable USB stick that will go in your PC.
The mp3 player is very un-user friendly and does not cancel its self if someone rings you, and cannot be canceled by pressing the off/back button. That instead rejects the call and leaves the mp3 player running. You have to work your way back through the menu and switch it off that way which is quite a complex process and you are likely to miss your call if that happens.
It also has a tendency to come on by its self and cannot be silenced except by shutting down the phone.
It also manages to call people by its self, despite have in very effective screen auto-lock.
The menus of the phone are illogically laid out with fairly straight forward things like ringtones and display setting being very difficult to find.
Overall this phone is very frustrating and difficult to use and is not worth the box it comes in. It is surprising Vodafone would launch such a poorly developed and un-thought out phone as this.
This is one economy that you will definitely regret making.

Do not, under any circumstances, buy this phone. Even if you find one, do NOT pick it up. Just pretend you haven't seen it and run away very fast. We've all had the urge to smash things with hammers, but I actually plan to do this and post the resulting video review on here. This is by far the worst piece of shi... I mean technology I have ever had the misfortune to encounter, and that's given some pretty tough competition. The touch screen is so insensitive that you'll be choosing menu items you don't want. The menu system is just bizarre. Also, when you phone an automated phone system and have to press 1 for accounts, etc, then good luck! You have to press the middle button (no idea what it is supposed to do apart from that), then take the phone away from your ear in order to click the on-screen keypad symbol, then press the digit you want, by which stage the automated phone system will be telling you that you've missed your chance and goodbye. Texting is a nightmare, almost impossible. The contacts database was designed by a 3 year old - nearly impossible to use.

There are so many things wrong with this nasty phone that I could write a review 10 pages long but I can't be bothered. This horrible thing has taken enough out of me. This phone should cost minus 100 pounds and come with a handwritten apology from the design director at vodafone.

When I first saw this set on the internet ,I THOUGTH this would be the best return of my money, and without making any stretches in my budget ,this vodafone would be mine.I ordered one immedietely. When I received the delivery,my friend opened it ,and he get so crazy that he wanted to buy that straight away from me,however I gifted it to him later on, and now I am going to order another two.
Although it is the best in its looks, with spare cases and light weight however I wish it with bigger screen-size ,because to select an option when they appear close together would be more swiftly,HOWEVER I am still using it at ease.I will recomend it for teens and students;because for them its very economic, and if they lost it, there is nothing to worried about.
Whatsoever Today I am ordering two more, one for myself and one for my girl friend.
With regards

Despite some poor reviews I decided to order one of these phones. I am not sorry I did as it works well and is amazing value for money! Despite being an old timer I have no problem using the text or finding my way around the menus. The camera is adequate for snaps that you might want to send to friends and family and the screen is clear and bright. The sound, both when ringing and during calls is loud enough even though I am slightly hard of hearing. It is also very sensitive and picks up the signal better than some much more expensive phones in the family.
Despite being locked to Vodafone I am using it with an Asda SIM with no problem. Asda sent a text that automatically updated the settings for WAP and MMS as soon as I switched in on!
I did have one silly problem however and that was trying to work out how to unlock the screen! The instruction book tells you how to lock it but not how to unlock it! You simply need to slide an on screen padlock from closed to open - no doubt obvious to everybody but me!
