Book Description
Be the dictator you've always dreamed of being with this handy guide to life and everyday success inspired by everyone's favourite autocrat. An ideal stocking filler
From the Inside Flap
What can the rise and reign of this century's most feared politician teach us about life, work and love? Rob Sears shows how the machinations that enabled Putin to dominate the Kremlin and undermine the United States could also help you take control of your mundane life. How would you like to ruin your enemies by sharing compromising material about that time they didn't wash their hands? Or annex territory by claiming the office supplies closet at work as your personal empire? Up for hack democracy at the parent-teacher association to ensure you're a shoo-in for social secretary? Or serving up a cold dish called revenge in a fancy restaurant? Filled with stories from Putin's extraordinary time in power, and ideas and illustrations to help you emulate him on a small scale, Vladimir Putin: Life Coach is the ultimate guide to releasing the pseudo-elected, judo black-belt, 5D chess-playing autocrat inside each and every one of us.

What a guy. Got this for a friend as a birthday joke. Won’t say a bad word about it as you never know who is watching and I am scared of assassination.

Although it's a comedy book, I found it slightly disturbing to read this book. The sections about the real Vladimir Putin outweigh any humour in the following sections about how to apply his thinking to your own life - which are mostly silly and not really funny at all. The Putin sections include references like a proper non-fiction book, and I found it very interesting in a chilling way. Ultimately it didn't give me a laugh, but it did give me an insight into one of the world's most powerful men. I bought it for a gift for a male relative who admires (although doesn't like/approve of) Putin, and he loved it, and after reading it myself I could appreciate more the genius of the man whilst being simultaneously worried about it.

I bought this around Christmas time around £5 delivered, and it was the hard back version so it was reasonable value for money. The contents I could only really describe as poop-time reading. Each page almost stands alone as an easily digestable unchallenging but entertaining snippet, often extrapolating a colourful story from a news snippet, and then adding a twist suggesting ways you could draw on it to 'be more vlad' in your own life. The type size is larger than I expected, so the actual volume of content feels a little stretched out, as the density per page is very low, with the entire left side of the double-page spreads generally being an illustration by Tom Sears in a style that reminds me of John Callahan. I bought this for myself, but I suspect it would make a better token gift for someone, even if they would only even flick through it, each page spread generally works as a stand-alone piece. Mildly entertaining execution of a very amusing concept. Can't complain!

Mildly entertaining. Not a book for intelligent people. Better watch a body language video on YouTube.

Great book bought as a novelty stocking filler for my son. He was thrilled to receive it, ranking it higher than last Christmas’ Jeremy Corbyn annual.

I suspect, if you put a fetching photo of Vlad on the cover of anything, from throw pillows to t-shirts to books, they will sell. He's a charismatic guy. Of course, even for the glorious cover photo of the most photogenic man in the world, the content of the tome is less than inspiring. Cheap shots about Vlad and his Russian reign. Not a single genuine appreciation for how he freed his people from the grip of the Oligarchs. Oh well.... cliche's also sell. And this book is full of them.
