There was the perfect blend of Hot Sexy time, suspense, love, and swooning. I absolutely am 100 percent in love with Issac.. Between the 21 question games, the Tomato soup and grilled cheese, and his love for the girls... He is just pure perfections and BA Dillon developed his character so well... Where can I get me an Issac...
Mia, I love her. The rebuilding of her trust... Her strength, her abilities. I love her, but how could you not. I love her and Issac stories.. I was falling in love with Issac just as much as Mia smile emoticon
I really love seeing this family Grow smile emoticon You will know what I mean when you read it...
I don't want to completely ruin or spoil this great story.. But it was nice to see Luke and Emma again..It's almost like visiting old friends. I think this book just made my top read list of 2015... So good...
In A Vision in Time, we meet Isaac and Mia. Detective Isaac Miller and Mia, a single mom and teacher, have immediate sparks when brought in contact by their friends, Emma and Luke. And while both of them feel the sparks, only Detective Miller, seems interested in pursuing something. Mia has been burned in the past and isn't interested in a repeat although Isaac is definitely on her radar.
My heart hurt for Mia as she not only has trust issues with men but she has a gift of sight that she doesn't know how to deal with. It's something she has tried to keep quiet, but as we saw her help the police in the first book, more and more people are becoming aware. I loved that Isaac accepted her without question. He also was considerate of her trust issues and was patient in pursuing her. He finally wears her down to seeing one another, but she only agrees if no one knows. I have to admit at some points I became frustrated with her and wanted Isaac to put his foot down. He was so awesome with her girls and I kept yelling at her through my kindle to get her rear in gear or he was going to walk.
I loved how Isaac and Mia had to fight for their love. I'm not opposed to insta-love stories at all, but the will to be together and make it work once Mia realized what she had made the book that much more amazing. It just fit this story...if that makes sense. There's just so much passion between them and it's evident in all their interactions. Oh, and btw, these two have some hot sexy times!
In addition to Isaac and Mia's love story, there is the suspense and supernatural element that I've come to love in B.A. Dillon's writings. Mia begins having visions in relation to Isaac's case and trying to figure out what was going to happen had me holding my breath. I'm not saying what she saw or how it ended up working out...you have to one-click and find out. Trust me, you will be turning pages or swiping your screen as fast as you can read.
So, I guess you can tell I loved the story :) This book is extremely well-written and while I felt the first novel was as well, you can definitely see growth in the author's work in this story. Please don't take that as a negative...it's definitely not. There's even more suspense in this book and I'm still in love with the supernatural/PNL slant...one that is completely original.
Congratulations once again to B.A. Dillon for writing this wonderful book. It's one that I know I will be rereading in the future. Hopefully, we can all find our "Isaac" out there! I give A Vision in Time 5 stars and highly recommend it to the romance reader that is looking for a story with all the feels, excitement, suspense, passion...you name it, it's here for you to enjoy.
This isn't her only problem though. Mia's been hurt in the past, and trust is an extremely difficult thing for her to give. She's got alot on her plate - and she may end up letting the best thing that has happened to her in years walk away. She has met Isaac through Luke and Emma and she holding back on getting involved with him. But Isaac wants her and a relationship with her. Mia decides to give Isaac a chance, but wants to keep what they have quiet, so none of their friends or family knows. Isaac accepts this for now, he thinks he can wear her down, but he does have a breaking point. He knows her fears, and is willing to deal with them - but only for so long.
I really did enjoy that their relationship wasn't an "insta-love" type of deal. It developed slowly over the time while they were "secretly" seeing each other. Isaac was truly amazing. Almost too perfect at times (which I think may be why I held back a star on my rating). He was patient as any man can be, even more than I would have expected from someone. But he handled Mia and her family with such love and care - you could just feel his devotion to them. I especially loved how Isaac was so "in-tune" with Mia when she had her "visions" - and how he took care of her during them and after them, and believed in them. He protected her in so many ways, and once Mia got her act together, I really started to like her so much better. She was one stubborn woman.
I really enjoyed the suspense element in the story of which I don't like to give away too much information on, but it definitely held my attention. If you're looking for a great romantic suspense story with a hea, then I highly suggest you give this series a shot. You'll get your "hot" romance, and some intrigue with the suspense part - I don't think you will be disappointed at all.
A Vision is Time is the second book in this series by new author B.A. Dillon and is definitely not a stand-alone novel; it’s a continuation of the stories of the people we first “met” in Tethered Through Time. I read and reviewed this first book in this series a few months ago (Tethered through Time) and loved it. (If you haven’t read it, please go back to the blog’s home page and look up that book’s review and please read that book first! You won’t be sorry, it’s so very good!).
Neither of these books were written by any sort of standard formula that, let’s face it, many romance books tend to be – these books are unique in that they’re their own unique genre: Both of these books are an interesting crossover of romance plus crime/police/suspense drama plus also have a supernatural element. When I say crime/police drama, I don’t mean shoot ‘em up, bloody, nitty-gritty crime drama at all. These are not books similar to popular crime novelists; there are several members of the local (Tampa, Florida) police force plus a couple of FBI characters intimately involved with the storyline. Their parts in this story added an element that made the story feel all the more real which was interesting and at times, made the story very suspenseful and drew me in. And the supernatural element…it’s the type of element where we as humans have as times tapped into something a bit extra…We know something “bad” is about to happen or we know not to get into that elevator with that stranger or we know in our hearts when someone we love is hurt or needs our help. Tethered through Time needed a bit of an open mind from the reader; A Vision is Time needs the same.
Because this book (and its predecessor) is its own unique genre, it gives me pause about how to review it. Here at Rave and Rant about Raunch, we like our sexy romance stories. This book has that too, but although the sexy scenes don’t fade to black, they’re definitely steamy and good, no worries. But this book is a lot more than about being sexy too; it’s about the uniqueness of the human spirit and its connection to special others in this world.
We first met Isaac in Tethered through Time; he worked with the guys in the Street Crimes Unit and had recently been promoted to the Cyber Crimes Unit. He spent a fair amount of time at the school (where Emma and Mia are teachers) keeping an eye on Emma to keep her safe; but really, he was more than happy to “bodyguard” Emma since she had a pretty and sweet friend named Mia whom was often around and he had developed quite a crush on her. Emma had encouraged him to make his move, saying she wouldn’t be available forever but he was a bit shy about making that happen. He managed to get her out for coffee a couple of times, which for Mia, was enough for her to start to lust after him and become very “aware” of him when he was around.
And Mia; Mia is a school-teacher and also a single mother. She has a very supportive mom who has been there for her and for her two girls but things are changing on that front…her mom is losing her vision and so her priorities are her daughters and her mom. She thought maybe something more might happen with Isaac but she hasn’t heard from him in a while and figured maybe she read more into their flirting than he had. Once the excitement had relaxed from Luke’s brush with death, this group of friends decided to have a get-together to celebrate his life being saved and the bad guys going down. Of course, Mia was there since her visions saved Luke and she’s one of Emma’s best friends, and Isaac was there because he’s been part of the street crimes unit but…
One look into Isaac’s green and gold flecked irises spikes my blood pressure, sends my heart racing, and puts me into a tumultuous cycle of lust. Crap! Two dates. Two simple meetings for coffee was all it took to send me spiraling out of control. But then the calls stopped, and he claimed work was to blame. Saturday he called me babe and held me like I was something special. But here we again, tip-toeing around like we barely know each other…
As the party progresses, Mia is carrying a platter into the kitchen when….
…I feel his arms come around me. Before I know it, his mouth captures mine with a deep and frantic kiss. Just when I’m about to lose myself in his kiss, I remember my children, my mother, and my closest friends are less than twenty-five feet away. “Isaac! What are you doing?” “If you have to ask, then I’m doing it wrong,” he chuckles against my neck. “I’ve wanted to do that since Saturday. We need to talk. We have so much to talk about, but I’m hoping talking will lead to more. Actually, let’s start with more first…Without thinking about the eleven people in the living room, I pull myself closer to his body, needing his touch. When I feel him begin to pull away, I nearly whimper. Barely audible I whisper, “Isaac, I…I need to…” “I know what you need, beautiful….
But this book involves much more than the two of these people and getting them together.
Mia has a gift. She sees things before they happen or as they happen; her mother has the same gift and as it develops in Mia, her mother is there to help her learn how to work with this ability. When young girls begin disappearing in the Tampa area, Isaac is involved in the case (since using computers is how these predators find their victims); and as a mom and teacher, Mia begins to get a feeling for what is happening and talks with Isaac about it. (Isaac has already seen Mia as she experienced some of her visions and knows they helped save his friend Luke’s life; and as a result he’s open to what she’s seeing and works with her to help save these young women and girls).
In the meantime, Isaac and Mia begin to see each other romantically. Although they originally agree to keep things casual, Isaac finds he begins to develop strong feelings for Mia as well as for her two daughters. And Mia, who has had a lot of issues with trust, slowly begins to trust Isaac too…
“I don’t trust words. I trust actions, and your actions speak volumes. Right now I know I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be. I want you to know everything. I think my story might shed a little light on why I struggle to trust. But I believe in you, and I’m beginning to believe in us. I trust you, Isaac.”
Because this book is a suspenseful novel, I don’t want to give too much away about what is going on around these people. What I do want to say is that I loved how they banded together, in a very new but awesome extended family who supported one another and had each other’s backs. There was none of the female pettiness that can make you crazy to read. These people felt real, they felt like anyone you or I might know, living their lives and loving the friends and family around them. The visions are believable and not over the top. The crime doesn’t take over and make the whole story about that but it does figure prominently but in a way that feels like what we’d see on the news. The relationships are what makes this book so very good…
Trailing my finger around his lips, my eyes lift slowly and find comfort in his gaze. He loves me. He loves my children. My voice is timid, but clear. “For the first time, I really feel everything there is to feel. I know now why I never gave anyone else my whole heart. I was waiting for you.”
And in the world of books, does it really get better than that

This is the second book in the Time series. This is my first book by B.A. Dillon and it wont be my last. I loved how well the story was written and how drawn into the story I was. The characters were very well developed and that I felt connected to the characters. If I could I would give this book more than 5 stars.
