Digitally remastered and expanded edition of this classic 1980 album from the British new romantic/synth band. The bonus tracks include extended mixes and non-album b-sides. The album was recorded at Genetic Sound Studios in Reading, Berkshire and released on 10 November 1980 by Polydor Records. Visage formed in London in 1978. The band became closely linked to the burgeoning new romantic fashion movement of the early 1980s, and are best known for their hit "Fade to Grey" which was released in late 1980 and reached #13 in the UK. Further singles, "Mind of a Toy" and the title track "Visage" were also UK Top 30 hits.

Secondly, this album sounds absolutely amazing, in fact it sounds as good today as it did when it was first released.
This remastered edition is fantastic, and it's worth paying the extra to get this quality of release...I really can't fault any aspect of it, from the bright and clear artwork to the sound quality of the CD.
I bought this album back in the early eighties. I've been waiting for a super deluxe edition for a long time. This is as likely the closest we'll get to it. All of the b-sides and extended versions are included. (The single of Tar and its b-side Frequency 7 are not included as they were released on a different record label.) Sound quality is excellent and the booklet includes a nice essay about the formation of Visage and the recording of the album. Hopefully a reissue of The Anvil is in the pipeline. It's a shame that none of the original group have previously had any interest in getting behind decent releases of these classic albums.
Just one little criticism...a dvd with the music videos and tv appearances would've been great (as with Abba's deluxe editions) but who knows, maybe they will appear some day, let's hope so.
So all you true New Romantics out there, buy this, get your mates round, play it loud, have your very own Blitz night and enjoy the grandeur that was and still is Visage. Steve Strange would be very proud.
Hoping to see the Deluxe editions of The Anvil and Beat Boy released soon.
This remastered reissue polishes up the sound a bit a usefully collects all the relevant B-sides and non-album tracks. A worthwhile upgrade.
