Zeth & Sloane are back!!!!!!

We see Zeth has mellowed out (slightly) and is on the straight path, Sloane is still working at the hospital working all the hours god send, Zeth and Michael still running the gym Blood & Roses.

Zeth being his naughty commanding self is still pushing all of Sloanes sexual buttons which leads to some Hot Hot sex scenes and a return of the Black Duffel Bag!!! how I have missed that bag!!!

We get to meet a new character called Mason Reeves, right from the get go I loved his character, he isn't without his own personal problems which I'm guessing could get worse as DEA Lowell rears her head and also a few other characters but I'm sure Zeth and Michael will get to business and sort it out.

We see the transition in Zeth and Sloane's relationship which also surprises Zeth as it goes into a deeper level of emotions which I absolutely loved.

With drama, passion and humour Violent Things has a promising start to an excellent series, one which I can wait to start the journey of reading.

Violent Things is the first in the new Chaos and Ruin series by Callie Hart, you need to have read the whole Blood and Roses series first to follow the story line and one or two twists that arise. It's time line crosses over with Hell's Kitchen so be prepared for a few Italian's causing issues for Zeth, hot action and everyone fighting to do the right thing. It's an intense, emotional and action filled quick read but full of what we all wanted: more Zeth and Sloane, a surprise or two and an ending that leaves you begging for more!!

This is a short read with Zeth and Michael working together at the Blood and Roses gym whilst keeping eyes forever open for anyone looking to cause chaos in their lives, just as Charlie's gone doesn't mean their won't be consequences for them. One night their bloody sparring is disturbed by Mason Reeves; a desperate and driven young man with the weight of the world on his shoulders, Zeth sees something within Mason but can he be the man to help him in his hour of need? He's a mechanic by day and needs extra cash so fights by night to raise the cash he so tragically needs, but being in such a position leads people to make choices they usually wouldn't, will Mason make the right decision when offered a chance to make money?

Sloane is still focussed upon her work, settled in her new role as Zeth's girlfriend but can she ever make amends with Oliver Massey, her co worker, or has too much happened to make things right between them?
One thing is clear Zeth and Sloane still have a deep connection and will cross any line to be together.

I would highly recommend for this author's Blood & Roses series to be read before reading this book.

This book is the continuation of Zeth and Sloane's story from the Blood & Roses series. It also features a brand new character, Mason, whose story is also intertwining with theirs. Michael also appears in this book.

This is actually a fairly short read and for me, 'the end' came about too soon. I was enjoying the book and getting really into the story when it just seemed to finish. I would have loved for the story to have been longer. However, knowing this is just the first instalment in this new series and that there will be more to come, I don't mind too much that this book ended to abruptly for my liking. Plus, the cliff-hanger this instalment ends on is a good one and I'm dying to know what takes place next.

The Blood & Roses series is among my favourite reads. I just love Zeth, Sloane and their relationship. I am so glad we get to see more of them and honestly, I don't think we could ever have to much of them.
One of the things I love about this author is the fact that she creates characters that are very easy to love. Mason is a new character and this being a short book we don't actually get to see an awful lot of him, yet he is loveable and I'm very much looking forward to seeing more of him in the future books.

This is actually a fairly toned-down book compare to the Blood & Roses series. However, the way in which this book ends hints that what is to come in this series will not be as tame as it might initially have appeared. Excitement is sure to follow!

This was a highly anticipated book for me and Callie has not disappointed.

I think all of us that have read the Blood and Roses series needed more of Zeth Mayfair.

This is a fast paced read, with fantastic hot sex scenes, and alluding of more exciting things to come in the new series.

New characters are introduced and we following them as they are integrated in to the book.

An enjoyable read and I cannot wait for the next book in the series.

Yesssss!!!
If there's one man I can never get enough of, it is Zeth Mayfair. So when I discover Violent Things is a follow on from the Blood and Roses series I as all over it.

This book doesn't disappoint, even though we see a tamer Zeth who has settled down with his angry girl Sloane. Callie has successfully managed to move the story into the tricky area of domesticity, whilst still giving us a taste of Zeth and Sloane's intense physical relationship.

No spoilers here but the book ends with a cliffhanger and I have been forced to keep myself busy with other books whilst I await the next instalment with real anticipation!
