An alternative view of our putrid past, one that focuses on how people went to the toilet, what sort of underwear they wore, and the gross disgusting and horrible things they did to themselves and each other as they sought the basic necessities of life. From Henry VIII handing the Royal chamber pot to the Yeoman of the Stool - in order to have his poo tipped into the moat, through to Sweeney Todd the Demon Barber, and horrible sacrifices of the ancient Egyptians in the days of Osiris and Tutankamun.

Here's the book, without a doubt - the only way you will find out !

I found it entertaining enough to annoy my family by constantly reading out poems I found amusing.
Ideal for children, as well as adults with a childish sense of humour and interest in history or poetry :)
