Welcome to Vintage Visage patterns on Amazon. Vintage Visage specialise in historical adaptations of patterns for all types of needle crafts and eras. This is a new sewing pattern that we have adapted and put together with full size paper pattern pieces to show you how to make a lovely Victorian style rag doll and 3 sets of clothes to dress her in. She would make a lovely gift when made up or work well to sell in craft fairs. If you are an experienced maker then you might like to make her an entire wardrobe to your own designs! She stands approx 25 inches tall when made. We do have 2 smaller versions at 16 and 8 inches tall so please check our other listings if you wish for a smaller doll pattern

Don't be fooled by the old fashioned design. The templates inside are standard and you can make the doll to a modern design and modify the finishes to suit. The doll is approx. 24" high. She has a nice shape head and body and quirky skinny legs and arms. If you have no dressmaking experience the instructions could throw you ( and they are all in imperial which I loved). You need to have an understanding of sewing / dressmaking if you want to finish this doll to a high standard. Not one for a beginner, but if you know the basics this doll is a joy to make. I adapted the dress to make it full length and fuller, made an extra underskirt and created a smock apron using part of the dress pattern. The templates are all there - just use your imagination!

I made this rag doll in a week ! Its lovely and so easy to make the pattern is clear and printed on proper paper ( not the silly tissue paper which is usually used ! ) the instructions are fairly clear but don't go into much detail so if you have no knowledge of using a pattern then this isn't for you. Once you've made the doll the clothes you can make are endless , premature baby clothes patterns fit this doll too , love it !

Excellent and complete instructions for the making of a rag doll and clothes as described, with a little adaptation all sorts of clothes can be made for the doll from the same pattern.
