I have read this book in an afternoon it didn't hold and secrets and was rather dull and bland I would tell my friends about it but not recommend this book as a good read just something to look at if you have nothing better to do

Be careful. Intermix seem to have released an older title. Whilst the book is enjoyable, it is not worth purchasing twice. Unfortunately the new release does not show as 'previously purchased' on the Amazon page.

Cute short story about love and reputation. A rake falls in love with a beautiful widow, sparking bad rumours of the woman's past which are spread by a jealous rival.

Julia London's books always put a smile on my face, and The Vicar's Widow is no exception. This was a delightfully well written novella with likeable characters. I'm hooked on Julia London!
4.0 out of 5 stars A quick fun read. 23 Aug. 2013

It was a pleasure to step back in time when morals were so very very moral. The characters are truly enjoyable. Our hearing aids and eyeglasses do stop some rumors from inflicting injury to reputations for which I am grateful yet the plot twists in this era of no cards were delightful.
