4.0 out of 5 stars hard to listen to straight through 12 Nov. 2003
By bowery boy - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
This is a great, albiet very repetitious, CD of minimal house. I found it a bit hard to take in one sitting though, because after a while the repetition began to wear on my nerves and once all the layers are set and the groove is in place that's all there is. If you're a DJ, buy this on vinyl and mix some of the tracks into your set as this plays like a disc intended for that purpose. It only sounds really good played really loud. I found myself only listening to the tracks I really liked a lot over and over again and now the only time I pull this off my shelf is when I need something thumpy to do my cardio to. 'lapses' and 'largo' are excellent tracks for this purpose.
A bit dated and a bit boring on repeated listens but really good stuff.
5.0 out of 5 stars Minimal Techno for the minimal minded 23 Mar. 2003
By The Blue Raja - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
F - is for Fantastic
L - is for Low-key
U - is for Underground
X - is for ... ok, that's a hard one
I - is for Intelligent Dance Music (IDM)
O - is for OH, where did the time go listening to this?!
N - is for Never-ending loops of pure minimal techno
Fluxion Vibrant forms I (and II) is a deep techno masterpiece in the likes of Porter Ricks & Basic Channel. If you are not familiar with minimal techno, then imagine if machines took over the world of music, and had no way of expressing emotion other than through synthesized effects and rhythms. What is the message of Fluxion's grooves? Up to you, but if you like to ZONE out and let repetition be your guide, you'll actually find the subtle changes within and become addicted to this techno craze. Great work!
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, hypnotic dub techno; but only if you know good electronic music. 16 Sept. 2009
By Domenic Micheli - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
Fluxion's Vibrant Forms is one of the best albums I've ever heard. Its quality stands near the top of the Chain Reaction catalogue, which is saying alot. Only Monolake's Hong Kong can rival this masterpiece in terms of quality and consistency. While this album is based on the Basic Channel sound, it is a bit warmer, more human, more emotional. If you havent listened to Basic Channel, dub techno, or other excellent but repetitious electronic music, dont expect to like this.

Its kindof like eating only Mcdonald's as a fat lard-ass kid, and refusing to eat fine dining because you dont have the class to appreciate subtlety.
4.0 out of 5 stars very smooth and dark, trippy and mystifying techno 13 Sept. 1999
By Konstantin Gredeskoul - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
This is a very nice piece of techno music right there. Dark, mystifying, yet groovy and even funky this album is certainly capable of taking you on a journey :=) I don't think this CD is really danceable, i.e. this is not your swedish techno ala Adam Baeyer. Slow and smooth, dark and trippy, this is more of a chill or even ambient techno than anything else, but deserves four stars without a doubt.
