ANYWAY-- just a word of caution... when I ordered it, the one that arrived was dead. So I called Vestal up (great customer service). They told me it had a warranty (you have to go through vestal not through amazon, fyi). They send me two accidentally because they spelled my name wrong or something and lost track of my order. I kept one of the ones I received and sent back the two (one being my broken one). Less than two months later the new one started giving me problems both in and out of the water (blinking low battery for a few days then going back to normal, then blinking low battery sometimes not showing the tide etc). After going through the rig-amoral again with Vestal I finally got my old watch back fixed somehow and inspected (they provide the inspection sheet). Anyhow- for a surf watch it seems this particular Vestal doesn't uphold the standards of the Vestal surf watch Brand. I know Vestal is known to make great surf watches but I'm thinking this one may be defective or something.
Bought this watch October 23, 2014. I've been in the water 6-7 times. As all the good things have been said so I will talk about how the rubber around the screen is ungluing and just before the buttons are not coming back to the right position. It seems it lasted a few months and since two months ago defects are appearing.
I was talking about it with a Surf professional who had two and he said he will never buy it again. For him both broke at the bracelet next to the logo.
It's not designed to be used in hot weather countries. But its cool if you wanna show it around even if you are not a pro or go often to the beach right? ;)
Bad relation quality/price.
Update June 2015:
After 8 months the light has stopped working and one week later shows "Battery Low" so its not showing the tides.
Expecting an RMA from the company.
The watch does have a material that gets dirty fast but can be clean with deep scrubbing. The functions are great for any simple training and works for me whe I don't want to wear my higher end watches while training and doing lessons.
