We meet Nora Blakely who at 19 wants for nothing. She is a accomplished pianist, a beauty queen and on her way to getting into Princeton after she has finished high school. Life couldn't be any better for this 19yr old.

Suddenly something snaps in Nora and she decides to rebel and hit the drink and drug's and have mind numbing one night stands.

She meets 25yr old Leo. At first we think that Leo doesn't want her but he is doing everything in his power to resist Nora.

I can't wait to read more of this series. I can't recommend this book enough

Nora is perfect, perfect daughter, perfect friend, perfect student, but she is drowning. Her mother is a bitch, her dad is never there, her brother is evil. Do you believe in love at first sight, that soul mates do exist, that there is one person out there for us. When Nora starts to crumble she meets Leo, there eyes meet and the rest should be history. Leo is the responsible older brother, he says that Nora is too young, but she pushes his buttons. He pushes her away continually until she believes that there is no hope. Will he change his mind and have faith in them in her?

At a glance , it's a typical girls meets boy, souls awakened, instant connection, boy refusing to acknowledge his feelings towards the girl, the girl heart broken , an incident and losing the girl awakening the boy to his feelings and then their HEA.
It's all that - but so so much more !
What I loved about Nora is that despite having a dark moment , she's unbelievably strong and shoulders on especially with her feelings for Leo. Her quirks like the word counting is simply adorable and makes her so much believable . As for Leo, you can't help but empathise with his situation , having lost his parents quite suddenly so he's afraid to get close to anyone .
I know it sounds so cliched but within these pages are amazing moments , endless words of wisdom and something almost magical in the way the writer manages to encapsulate the surroundings . It's New Adult but with so much depth than what you usually find in school/college romances.
Loved it and can't wait to read more !

Very Bad Things, Ilsa Madden-Mills
Review from jeannie zelos book reviews.
Though I'm long past the NA target group sometimes I like a dip in there for the fun, deep emotion many of these books have. This one was just that, a really fun read, full of emotion, lots of secrets, some jealousies, and some hot, spicy sex. Ilsa has the knack of making even a simple kiss very sensual, and sometimes that can be more erotic than full on but poorly written sex scenes. Sadly too many books think erotica means page after page of repetitive sex....
Anyway, we meet Nora, on the surface poor little rich girl, her parents give her everything except time and love. As we get to know her better though we learn there's far more that that behind her problems, she's hiding a very dark secret that's affecting her badly. Then Sebastian and Leo come into her life. Sebastian becomes a great friend, very supportive and helping Nora greatly. Leo though – from the moment their eyes meet there's a connection, but he doesn't respond to Nora's seductions...he's decided love isn't for him, and wants to stay well away from her. Things never work out like they are planned though do they ;-) and life keeps flinging them toghether.
It's a great read, full of all the things I love about NA, and with characters that for once aren't dumbed down and act their age. Some NA book have people acting like early teens...here Nora is 19 and because of her upbringing she acts and thinks older than her years, likewise Leo is ( I think) 24 – 25 and has brought up his younger brother for many years after the death of their parents so he too is more mature.
There's some really sensual scenes, its not OTT sex all the way, but lots of glances, touches, kisses before we get to the hot and spicy sex....

Emma's thoughts: 5 Amazing Shining Stars

Oh my god, I can't rave about his book enough, it is flippin fantastic! Ilsa’s writing had me hooked, lined and sinkered right from the very beginning and I couldn't put it down, It was getting late on the evening I started it and I just kept thinking aw just one more chapter and about several chapters later I had to put my kindle down and head to bed, needless to say I read this book in a day and even when I wasn't able to read it I was still thinking about it.... totally love it when a book gets me like that!

I’m going to try my best not to write to much detail and spoilers as I don’t want to ruin it for anyone and trust me when I say “You are gonna want to read Very Bad Things”.

Right from the very beginning of this book I felt for Nora and could understand why it would send her off the rails, I really liked her sassiness and ballsy attitude and who would want a family like hers, luckily for her she has a good bestie Mila who stands by her through thick and thin as does her Aunt Portia and then we have Leo Tate.... Oh my, that is one hot book crush right there, he is so HOT that he sizzles and the sexual tension – I could of done with a cold shower and even his little bro Sebastian sounds hot but in a too young way for me, lol. Would quite like Sebastian and Mila too get their own book... sense a slight spark there but could be wrong (hint, hint) ha ha.

All that’s left for me to do is say a huge well done and Congratulations to Ilsa.... you have written one amazing book and thank you for letting me review it :)
