Fox had a brief flirtation with the UK and Euro charts in the mid 70s before they were washed away on the tide of punk/new wave.
Their style was based around the sexy lead singer Noosha Fox (an Aussie renamed from Susan Traynor) who looked like Betty Boop and sang like her too. The band contained some fairly serious musos who did plenty of other things too (Yellow Dog).
The songs were a bit "hippy meets seventies pop" with some important exceptions. S-S-S-Single bed was their best known hit, a superb percussive and innovative number still being played on dance floors many years later. Few red-blooded males could have failed to have been struck by Noosha's "come-to-bed" performances on Top of the Pops. All fairly harmless but quite provocative for the era.
They made three albums, the first of which sold well and has been re-released on CD entitled "Fox" and contains an excellent cover of "Love Letters" not on this CD.
This CD has most of their best stuff on it including the excellent hits "Imagine Me Imagine You" and "Only You Can" plus many of the best album tracks, of which "The Juggler" stands out. This song was covered by the Drifters. "Dejanina" is a strong track and like many is surrealistic in an "away with the Pixies" style.
Some great pop songs, a few folky flower power numbers and the classic S-S-S-Single Bed make this an indispensable CD. Buy it!

Compilation album by Fox from GTO label in 1975/6.

Material is just 7"s - mostly hits and a few album tracks for Fox-fans dumping their vinyls/cassettes for a CD.

Long deleted and scarce.

Now 3 original albums now all out on CD by CherryRed and cheaper than this CD.

Recommended.
