A quite a violent story. Not for the faint hearted. A very troubled man bent on revenge, and gets it. Very well written and if you like the style of Nick Oldham's writing then I would recommend it. A very down to earth writer. I love all the that Nick Oldham has written. I am on my sixth now and I just cant put it down.

Like all Nick Oldham books a nice easy read. I do however feel that there were too many unanswered lose ends.
Predictable nearly all the way till then end, then a smack in the face for anyone who even thought there might be a truly happy ending. Not in the Christie class!

I usually give every Nick Oldham book 5 stars - no contest! This book is very different: not a police procedural and the story is pretty well predictable from the outset. No surprises. The title says it all and the book does what is says on the tin. Having said that, if you like gratuitous violence, gory murder methods and a fast-paced, easy-to-read roller coaster ride, you'll probably like this. I gave it 4 stars as I feel it's very well written (as expected from Nick Oldham) whether or not the content appeals.

Probably will be a good film but as a book it's dull and uninspiring. The plot is thin and very predictable and the characterisations are very weak and one dimensional.

I love Nick Oldham's Henry Christie series and was intrigued to see this stand alone thriller. Not his usual type of story line as this is an accompaniment to the film 'Vendetta', so the plot is not of his own making. However Nick has managed to bring his excellent writing style to the book. It is exciting, fast moving and , whilst I missed the presence of his usual detective, Henry Chritsrie, I still found this an enjoyable page turning read. Highly recommended.

The author successfully managed to make a vigilante likeable and you really want him to win. I hope the author brings him back.
