The style is different to her normal grittiness; its highly descriptive and Tillie truly paints images with her words. Like in her other work her characters felt real, although in this book they are more simplistic...and I dont mean that in a derogatory way, they didn't expect to find love in their circumstances but embraced it with joy when it was discovered.
I'm a massive Tillie fan but I'm also a romantic, so for me this ticked a lot of boxes and made me smile, sigh and laugh. This book topped up my brightside rather than filling me with angst, as so many of Tillies books do so well. I loved this book and really hope that Tillie will gift the world with Zeno's story.
How on earth am i going to be able to do this book justice!! There just isn't enough words for me to describe this Stunningly Beautiful read from Tillie Cole. A Veil of Veins is like a modern day Fairytale taken right out of the pages of Disney and i could see this book being turned into a movie.
Tillie Cole has truly written another breathtaking story with excellent writing. I adored both Caresa and Achille and fell in love with this romantic story. Set in Italy with Tillie's words you can picture the beautiful scenery you feel every moment, it's like i dived into the pages of the book and i loved every minute of it even the truly emotional parts. There's so much depth to her writing.
I really don't want to spoil this read to much for you. There are some books you can go into detail about and then there are books like this one that all you can say is YOU MUST READ because no amount of words could ever describe how you will feel once you have read this.
"Because sometimes, just sometimes, the sun and the moon align, bringing two people to the same place at the same time. Sometimes destiny guides them to exactly where they are meant to be. And their hearts fall in a tandem beat and their souls merge as one. Split-aparts. Soul Mates. Two halves, now one whole.......
Achille and Caresa.
Tillie Cole is my go to Author and i would Highly recommend all and everything she writes!!!
Achilles lives on the former king’s estate and makes wine. That’s his life’s work and all he has left now his father and mother have both passed away. He’s been secluded away from the world, and has been happy with that, until one day a stranger makes her way on to his property. It wasn’t until then that he understood what his father had always told him about split-aparts, soul mates and even though he knows he needs to keep away from her, he can’t.
This is a story of epic love. It’s beautiful in every way. I can’t say wine making or classical music really interests me, but being that this is by Tillie Cole I wanted to read it. I am so glad I did. Once again, she didn’t let me down. I am not going to talk anymore about the story, because I don’t want to spoil it for anyone. There are twists and turns I never saw coming, and my heart hurt for Achilles so many times. His story is one that affects myself and my daughter, so it really hit home for me. And I loved the way his storyline was.
Tillie is a one click for me and this book is a must read for everyone.
A veil of vines was a beautifully written, deeply heart-warming novel that made me cry, and fall in love. I don't think there is a single thing about this story that I didn't love.
“if she is your split-apart, you must fight for her.”
It was sweet, sexy, romantic, surprising, heart-wrenching, and breathtaking all at the same time.
Caresa is a strong heroine who leaves her NYC life to go and marry her Italian Prince Zeno. Caresa has always dreamt of that moment since she was a little girl, she wanted her fairy tale- a white dress and a veil of vines. However, she never planned for Achille.
I do not want to say too much but be ready to enjoy the ride!
Spectacular! Once again Tillie Cole didn't disappoint.
Modern fairy tale full of angst and passion.
Romanticism at its best!
