An inspiring new book ... lays out a successional growing programme, month-by-month, vegetable-by-vegetable which will almost double the productivity of the plot and really keep you in vegetables all year round. (Caroline Foley, Guardian)
Of the many new books on growing your own food, this is the one I've been waiting for. (Michael Viney)
What makes it unusual, if not unique, is that it's firmly based on hands-on experience gained in one of the more difficult parts of the country for growing things ... although it's aimed at beginners I learned a lot from it, and I'm hardly a beginner at this stage. (Dick Warner, Irish Examiner)
An accessible and essential guide to growing undercover, it offers fluff-free growing instructions and a monthly planner for everyday and unusual crops year round. (Vegetarian Living)

I was really impressed with this book. It covers every vegetable you could want to grow in enough detail. He even includes some varieties I've not heard of and I'm a very experienced grower.
There is a useful section on what to do each month and tables giving optimum germination temperatures etc. which are really useful
The writing style is easy to read but make no mistake, this is a serious book not some coffee table job dreamed up by a marketing department. It's the sort of book you read and then keep handy as a reference work.
If you're thinking of growing in a polytunnel then order a copy, if you already grow in a tunnel then I bet you'll improve your technique by reading this.
