Since going vegan a couple of years ago I've discovered a huge love of home cooking, and I'm happy to experiment with lots of ingredients. My boyfriend (also vegan) is more of an "assembler" than a chef, in that he tends to buy jars of sauce to keep dinners simple. This book is a really great compromise. Meals from scratch with just a handful of ingredients, and mostly for 2 people which is perfect for our household. Love the variety of recipes too, from staples (oat milk, pesto, hummus, jam etc.) to show-stoppers. Great job, guys. The tips for reducing waste are awesome too.
My book arrived on Monday and what an amazing recipe book it is! I have always been a big fan of 5 ingredient cool books as it make dinner so much simpler and cost effective but the main ingredients are often meat and when cooking for vegan friends and family they have always been a big no go! So move over Jamie coz veganuary (and the rest of the year) is covered by Roxy and Ben with SO VEGAN IN 5! Great recipes with big flavours, perfect for showing people vegan food is not for the minority!
Super delicious recipes that are super easy to make. Big fan of their Instagram page and even bigger fan of this book. Made a garlic bread Xmas tree that completely stole the show at a potluck dinner 10/10 would recommend!
As someone who is not a vegan, but willing to try new things, So Vegan's work has been a great eye-opener. I'd already tried some of their recipes, and been a big fan of their taco ring (it's a hit at parties). This is packed with ideas that are easy, tasty, and gorgeous to look at. Experimenting with vegan food will open you up to so many flavours, techniques, and approaches to food that will make you a better, healthier cook.
