Vega Reina Verdejo 2017, 75 cl (Case of 3)
- Straw-coloured yellow with greenish hues.
- An intense, delicate aroma, with both white stone fruit flavours and a hint of herbs. Round in the mouth, smooth and creamy, with a crisp final acidity.
- Ideal with appetizers, seafood and poultry.
- Joe Fattorini's Tasting Note: "I poured this award-winning white recently for some friends and their expressions said it all. Wide-eyed looks of revelation; mouths pursed in a 'oooohh'; big grins. Great Verdejo has the fresh zest of Sauvignon Blanc but with quince, not gooseberry. And it's a more herbal, less aggressive wine, making is so much more versatile with food like coriander chicken, grilled Halloumi salad or seafood paella. Best of all, Verdejo (native to the Rueda district in central northern Spain from which this hails) is a relative unknown, so you get a better wine for less money."

Harvest takes place at night in order to avoid high temperatures which minimises oxidation and the loss of aromatics. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats over a period of 15-20 days. After 2/3 months, the wine is stabilised, filtered and bottled.
Pale straw-coloured yellow. Aromas suggesting mature fruit with a delicate balsamic depth. A fruity, balanced flavour, pleasantly persistent.

|About||When optimum ripeness is reached, the grapes are harvested. After remaining at a controlled temperature and humidity, we proceed by blending the wines. To maintain optimal quality, only a minimal amount of filtration takes place prior to bottling. Aged for 12 months in French and American oak barrels.||A limited production wine with only 22,000 bottles made per year. Slow fermentation to achieve maximum fruit extraction, followed by 24 months ageing in new French oak barrels before bottling.||A limited production icon wine with only 9,897 bottles produced, Magister captures the “Duero Spirit.” Produced using the highest quality, hand harvested grapes from each vintage. After passing through the selection table, the grapes are then slowly fermented in order to achieve maximum fruit extraction. The wine is aged for 18 months in new French Allier oak casks in the Magister Ageing Cellar, a former chapel at Hacienda Zorita.|
