Vaughan Tucker fell in love with boats in New Zealand and bought his first yacht, a seven-foot P-class sail trainer, from the proceeds of his paper round when he was ten.
Then he came to Britain and fell in love all over again, this time with narrowboats. He has lived on boats for over 20 years, and How to live on a Canal Boat, an alternative lifestyle is a distillation of what he's picked up over all those years. Vaughan's done it the hard way, he's learned by making mistakes. His book means you won't fall into the same traps that he did. Along the way he gives a flavour of the beauty and magic of the waterways, that dreamy alternative, floating lifestyle.
He has worked in newspapers all his life, and also written three fiction titles which can be found on Amazon.
When he's not writing Vaughan likes reading, playing with bows and arrows (at his age!) and simply messing about in boats.
