Pitching the Talas is a doddle with the two pole structure making Vango's seven minute pitching time (quoted on the product packaging) easily achievable. On my first attempt, the tent was erect and ready to use within five minutes. To make this even faster it would be possible to leave the inner and outer tent attached. This is a distinct advantage because it prevents the inner tent from getting wet when pitching during rain showers (as the outer protects the inner from rain) and reduces the effect of wind. Attach them separately, and the outer is a massive windbreak, making it ridiculously difficult to attach on windy days singlehanded.
Once pitched there is easily enough room for two people and gear. With my camp bed, sleeping mat and sleeping bag installed, there was more than enough space for gear that needs to stay dry, alongside inner tent pockets for valuables. Outside the sleeping area, there is ample room for items that can withstand a little damp, housing my boxed stove, camping stool and motorcycle top box with relative comfort. Three people could use this tent, however it would certainly be a squeeze, and there would be little room in the sleeping compartment for gear. As a general rule, a three person tent is ideal for two people, and a two person for one etc.
A bonus of this tent is provided by the lime green colour, which allows for light to easily penetrate the inner and outer layers, illuminating the inside during daytime hours. Much better than my 17 year old Vango Equinox 350, which was dark even on the sunniest of days!Read more ›
Post Party it was ideal to crash into, tested on the cliff top at Porthleven last weekend for the Masked Ball. Survived intact ready for another day, another do!
Two fairly large people slept in the tent, and I think it could sleep three (albeit very, very cosy).
Very easy to put up - however buy sharpened tent pegs! The ones that come with the tent are perfectly adequate, however they don't compare to the sharpened pegs.

Ideal, lightweight & really easy to erect, though I think 3 people in it would be a bit cramped.Published 8 days ago by richard johnson
