We purchased our Sapera in June 2013 as we had heard good things about the 'Airbeam' concept and the Vango version seemed like good value for money. We had no problems erecting it on to our large motorhome although it did take slightly longer than the advertised 5 minutes it was still relatively easy. On first inspection we were very pleased at the layout, design and space after removing the bedroom compartment. Our 1st trip out with it was for a 7 night break and we were pleased with it on the whole. The only small point we didn't like at this stage was that the door openings and fly screens could only be opened from the bottom. As we have a dog and are cautious not to let her escape a top opening would have been ideal so that we could have safely let some fresh air in. We used it for a further week away and then 2 weekends away then packed it away to take to Portugal with us for our extended winter trip. This is where the serious problems began. In January, and after about a fortnight of being put up the awning began to start seriously leaking from the door and tunnel seams. I contacted Tamworth Camping straight away as we had only had it 7 months. They advised that on our return to the UK they would return the awning to Vango for inspection. This is where our nightmare began. Vango advised that the problem was due to UV degradation. I couldn't believe it after 35 days use. As a goodwill gesture (!) they sent some re-proofer but we weren't happy with that as the leaking was really quite severe. After many emails and an unpleasant telephone call from a really rude sales director at Vango we were told that the best they could do was offer us a replacement awning at half price!Read more ›

I totally agree with the previous posting the quality of Vango products are questionable. I purchased the Kela tall but ran into problems within a couple of weeks, Vango were very negative to my complaint and will place the blame anywhere but on themselves.....look elswhere

Having just received the Vango I thought I would rise to the challenge of the claim it can be erected in 3 minutes. Okay, not bad for a first attempt, but it did take me 20 minutes. However, I could do it by myself, it was hassle free and I am very impressed with the attention to detail the manufacture has given to the product. Excellent quality. It was equally as easy to take down and pack away, which is also a big plus. I am of the opinion, that with a bit more practise, it will indeed be possible to get close to the 3 minutes. Could be an Olympic sport in the making here! :-)

Good sturdy awning fairly easy to put up but definitely needs 2 people. Only annoyance is the pump fits badly to the awning and keeps coming off whilst trying to inflate.
